Technically you're right but a lot of people including the link I posted rate hp ...hp just being indicative of the torque it can handle...which for lazy people like me is fine.

I have used Jim berry clutches in the past. They are really god and rate the highly. Just scared of his prices. This build was suppose to be cheap fast zed ... but not half assed.

So ill pay money were it's needed, within reason, but don't really wanna drop over 1k on a clutch, or have to replace it after the first time it's on the track.

Anyone used the TR2CD OS Giken dampened twin plate clutch and chrome-moly flywheel?

Personally I prefer a dampened/sprung hub clutch plate which makes me hesitant to buy the Z1 twin plate.

I've been looking into a more manageable clutch for mine as I have the UAS single plate 1300KG 6 puck :( NPC Clutches is only 5 minutes form where I live and I spoke to them about a replacement only 2 weeks ago. These guys really seem to know their stuff but the price!!!!!! $2550 for a twin plate.

This Jim Berry is only 10 minutes from my house and I had never heard of him before so I'll have a chat to him and see what he can offer but by the sound of it, you can't go past the Z1 Twin Plate.

John will build or supply whatever you need.
I have known him for over 30 years, and he really knows his stuff.
I was a clutch rebuilder back in the day, so I know that something just off the shelf is not the only way to go.

You may be pleasantly surprised at the cost as well.
It can't hurt to make the phone call.
Let him know that Paul from Bilpin recommended that you contact him.

I contacted them. had 2 options. the OS Giken and full custom one. Both about the same price @just under 2.5k

Chances are the Exedy HD full face on a stock flywheel will work great.
