For a long time now I've been looking at the Selin silicon dual intakes for the 300zx. They're are a custom made replacement for the plastic Nissan 'Y piece' intake tract and they reduce the turbulence associated with the oem system. The separate intakes have been proven to allow the engine to easily access a greater quantity of air which generally 'fattens up' your torque curve.

The stumbling block with the Selins has always been the price tag of US$110 + shipping. At the current exchange rate that blows out to about AU$165 to have them landed at my door

I recently came across a local supplier who stocks Selin style silicon dual intakes for the 300ZX, but the local intakes come supplied with high quality Stainless Steel T Bolt clamps (as opposed to the cheap worm clamps supplied with the Selin intakes)

We'll need 8 starters to get these at the Group Buy price of just $85 and stock is available for immediate delivery. Postage (anywhere in Oz) will be $13.40

PM me if you have any questions or want to be included in this GB

Re : Selin style dual intake GB

This AU$79 Dual intake GB does not include a US$279 Selin Translator

No, why would you possibly want inferior rubber ones anyway

    Fact not Fiction......

I've been hearing the usual uninformed comments about the usefulness of the silicon dual intakes on a zed :-

    * My uncles neighbour reckons they're only good for over 500hp

    * The guy down the pub says they're a waste of money

    Etc, etc, etc

The truth is that the laws of physics dictate that two separate intakes drawing air through 2 x 70mm openings will have access to a greater airflow than the same intakes drawing air through a single 70mm opening

For those of you who can't manage to grasp scientific principles, here's a dyno done by SpecialtyZ showing HP and Torque graphs after the simple addition of separate dual intakes.

    More starters needed......

Okay, we've had the usual responses from the 'tyre kickers', (who all want pictures but have no interest in the product whatsoever ) but now we need some genuine starters.

Every ttzed would benefit from the fitting of these intakes. Who doesn't want some extra torque throughout their entire powerband  (I've never heard anyone not wanting faster spool) Those already using Nistune/Zemulator/Apexi SAFC have a 'bolt on and drive away' capability :D

These intakes were custom made to fit the zeds and are simple to fit. Everyone is always complaining about how expensive zed stuff is in Australia, well here's a product that's available locally at a fraction of the price it would cost to bring in from the US

I've been told by the supplier that stocks are now very low, so this Group Buy will NOT be repeated. This is a 'one off' opportunity, so don't miss out.

Pm me to have your name included in this GB or if you have any questions

I'm guessing this doesn't include alloy mounting brackets?

    They don't need it......

The silicon intakes are sturdy enough to support the weight of a filter/afm and nothing will move the SS T-bolt clamps once they are tightened

For paranoid zed owners, a few dollars worth of sheet alloy from the local metal shop will calm your nerves

    Lol.....

if that is your driving 'modus operandi', I suggest you land the $160 US kit with crappy worm clamps and a few brackets..... you may as well give your money away because 'you can't take it with you'
