Hi Guys, My nissan 300zx got stolen last night from the visitors parking at my residence at westmead. The rego number is BD 88 VF, 21 inch rims non turbo j Spec. Color black targa top. I have lodged a file with the state police NSW. Can you guys please keep an eye on anything suspicious and please contact me below on the number below. I my self work with Department of Immigration and Border protection. Please contact urgently. It was my pride and words can not express what she meant to me. Insurance ran out a year back and i never bothered!! It also has Decepticons sticker on the front screen and chiv guvera sticker on the back. I literally am in tears and thought i would share it with the forum... Admins i would appreciate if you guys help and post it on the other tabs on the forum. Hi Team, I got a call from the police station this morning. They found my Zed, parked at Greystances NSW 15 min away from where i live. The Targa top is gone , The 21 inch Rims gone and replaced by some shitty rims with effed up treads. The boost guages are gone. The Head Unit and part of console is gone. Engine is still there , i tried to start it no lights no nothing...I tried Jump Pack , no lights no rev no nothing. Paid$100 to get it towed to the local mechanics. I dont have any hopes as the mechanics said that he need to check everything thorougly . He said just pray they havent stolen the ECU and any chips. Now i bought a house starting of this year , already running on a tight budget and a kid on the way. I need you suggestion!!! I have already bought a new car ( not a Zed) its a stagea... what should i do with this one ?? It has rego till August next year , the body is all good the engine looks ok ? do i sell it ?? anyone wants a project car ?? and am not spaming this i just need suggestion. If the mechanics tell me its under 500 to fix then i may consider spending money and re builiding it or something . Or wreckers? I seriously dont know guys, am so confused... I wish i had the money to restore it again to its prime but what it gets stolen again!! i know that after i get a bit settled in life i will get a Zed again 100% but i dont know what to do with the one i have now. Like i said the engine looks fine ( all the parts are still in ) am sorry am not a tech. It is more hurtfull to see her like this , as to when the stole it from me. Its a J spec and she is one of a kind i know that because she never let me down and i just hate to see her like this, hopefully the mechanic will call me tomorrow to advise me accordingly. No one understands the pain , not my friend not my mrs not anyone, so i thought i should share this with you guys. Thanks
make sure you have G.P.S. Tracking! Dam sad story there! My sincere condolences.... A reminder to everyone that Z's are very high up on the thieves list - make sure you have G.P.S. Tracking - there is no other option!
Cops will still not help if you can show them where your car is via gps. same as stolen iphones etc.... only if you want to vigilante some people
Honestly, Guys lock you Z's up guard them with care trust me this is my second Z. 1st one was crashed by my cousin while i was overseas and this time it got taken away from me... Police didnt do shite!! sorry but am angry...and really hurt to see her like this...hopefully she wakes up with the Roar she always had.... Really sad.
Advice: Hold a tech day. Being in Sydney there is a great crew of people and plenty of parts if needed second hand. Put on a BBQ and some beers the guys will check her out and let you know exactly what's needed to get her going. A mechanic will just take you for a ride, unless the really know Zeds. Pick a weekend and post in the coming events forum.
Get back on the road, theft insurance (very important!!) and get an alarm / immobilizer installed. It'll assist big time in keeping thugs away.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I am still waiting for the mechanic to get back to me... he is a old Datsun mechanic and ex owner of Z's. Hopefully she will start and its not too complicated. If it does i will get her back on the road and will rebuilt her even if i have to start from the scratch man....
Got a call from the mechanics, everything is working fine . Engine was untouched luckly. The interior how ever is pretty bad. And suspension is a bit stiffy. I would definately appreciate if anyone who lives near by to Paramatta can pass by my place and have a look at her please. 6 Pack of beer on me Just for some basic analysis of the car and perhaps give me a list of things i should start doing to her within my budget limits. i work till 8pm, Friday or Saturday will be perferable. Once again, i thank each and everyone of you guys for the support and having the time to read through....really really appreciate it. Thanks again
Ah ok, probably dumped it with the lights on or something. Things i would be checking is water - is there any left? Oil - any white stuff or water in it? Compression - tools required for this - has the engine still got it? If they all checkout, you are very lucky. alot of the time the engine is dead or dying.
Ok, I still havent seen her but i will check all these. The last one Compression so that mean like power yeah ?? like does she still pulls yeah ??
