The car has been reciently licensed and registered in WA, comes with a full 6 months rego and extensive service history to get the old girl into its well presented current state. The pictures below are a good representation of the classic, however its the experience of driving this car which takes you back.

This is a great example for someone to enjoy right away, or the perfect base for a serious restoration. Value will always be held in this cars matching chassis/engine numbers, dealer plates and original sales documentation.

Areas for future owner to improve are:
    Cracked dash
    Tacho works half the time
Front seats have splits in the vinyl on the base
Interior is well loved for a 38 year old car

Please email or call if you would like walk around video's or further details.

Oh wow, that is one beautiful, clean looking example, If I wasn't in the middle of my own laborious project you could be guaranteed that I would be selling my own car to fund a purchase like this, definitely undervalued.

Looks ok from the outside but you would need to check the usual rust spots like the floor, subframe, a and c pillars. I knew when I had mine that's where the major rust spots were and you couldn't really notice them until you dug around.

It's got the right carbies on them too, the dome top su's that were in the 240 but then went to flat top in the 260 with heaps of emission crap.

I think the price is too low. Such condition, it's hard to imagine it's worth less than a fortune. One day it will be worth much more than that :p

    It's a 2+2, haven't held value well at all.

But you'd expect that, 2+2's are always the uglier of the two types of zeds  :p

One day it will be worth more.

The issue is that today, people who are in the market for a Datsun Z car from the 70s may fall in love with a 260 and buy it, however, every time they see a 240 afterwards they will think "I just wish I had waited and bought one of those instead."

That is why at the moment a 260 of any variety is worth a lot less.

Albeit I'm not a fan of the looks of the 2+2 model. This is by far one of the cleanest 260's I've laid eyes on in a while.

12.5 is on the cheaper end of the spectrum, to an enthusiast you should be able to collect more. They're a buyers market unfortunately. But I don't think you'll have much trouble selling it for more. Just advertise is well.

The photos just don't do the old girls justice.

Good luck with the potential sale.

i have a 74, 260z 2+2 as well, damm i wish it looked like yours! iv'e had mine stashed for about 8 years but its been stuffed with along the way through many owners before me, i'd swap my 300zx in a heartbeat for this, and its gunna be a lot more collectable in a few years..especially one owner and purchase receipts etc! not many around can say that ! i recon its a seller at that price even if its not a 240z or 260 2 seater! one of them with all that history would go for 30k imo....just gota find the buyer....good luck with the sale !

Cheers for all the kind words, it can only help to inspire someone to invest their tax return on her ;)
