A few important things for Sunday's cruise, a message from the organisers and contributors (Thanks Syd crew :))

    1. Enjoy the day! Be considerate of other drivers, especially those less fortunate, the ones who drive ordinary cars!
    2. Drive carefully and consider other road users, obey the road rules. No one wants to see someone injured or a pride-and-joy damaged on a day like this.
    3. Drive for the conditions. It will most likely rain at some point and could be foggy at the top of the mountain - consider your safety and the safety of others by acting responsibly.
    4. Keep a safe distance from the car ahead of you - it's too easy to be distracted when you're following another vehicle, especially in a group.
    5. At the park be mindful that you will be sharing the picnic area with families and young children. This is no place for bad driving skills or bad behavior.
    6. Don't behave in such a manner that brings unwanted attention from residents and police. There's nothing worse than a group of car enthusiasts being labelled 'hoons' and therefore not being welcome back.

And finally, remember, the purpose of the day is to raise funds to help a mate.
Give generously but only give what you can afford.

Have fun, dont forget your cash and see you all on Sunday!!

 agree's whole heartedly , with the new hooning laws coming into effect in QLD, there sadly will be some jackboot blueboy, who thinks he knows all the rules so do not give them a reason .

And remember Sundays Cruise is about 2 wonderful people needing a bit of a hand and having a bit of fun.

    So DRIVE SAFE, DRIVE SMART.

Evil Twin Time to 'Suit Up'!

UPDATE - REGRETABLY OUR EVENT IN BRISBANE IS POSTPONED DUE TO THE UNPREDICTABLE AND MISERABLY WEATHER! :(

The forecast for the next week is the same as last week - rain! :O While the expected rainfall for Brisbane is lower than the last few days at 5-10mm for Sunday @ 90% probability. You can be sure there will me more in the mountains!

Firstly everyones safety is paramount. Twisties in turbo'd vehicles can be unpredictable.. I have been shotgun in a zed written off during a mild cruise when the boost come on ever so slightly on an narrow off camber corner. It would not have mattered if the guy driving was Ken Block - no one could have caught it and that was in the dry!

I don't want anyone hurt or their vehicles damaged!

It also seems silly to have a BBQ in a water logged park, get drenched and then drag mud into our pride and joy. It would be impossible to have any kind of show'n'shine after following 30+ cars up a mountain.

I hope everyone understands. I don't want to leave everyone in limbo until the very last minute and ruin your weekend. So its with great regret that I postpone for a week or two until conditions improve! I certianly hope everyone can still make it along when we post up the new date! Have a great weekend guys!

    Ben

F'ing rain .... !!!! First break since 8.00pm last night ... 20 hours and 6 inches of non stop rain and water every bloody where .. I am soaked, digging run off trenches all over the place.

Again, Ben ... a top call ... Regrettable but essential in the circumstances.

This weekend seemed wet enough without the need for the water tanker.
Didn't you run out of water last time?
