    Hey guys,

Firstly sorry if this is the wrong section. But the re-builds note said to post this here.

Anyways, a few people may have known (not many because I am still very new here) that I was getting my car resprayed. If you saw it before the glorious Pearl Yellow looked cream in a lot of areas. was distressing to see her in that state.
So here are some photos of her before and after. Plus a few other goodies I have gotten in. Let me know what you think :D:D

Let me know what you think. Thanks for reading :)

looks good. hopet hats note the original spoiler though, coz if it is youll have to pull it off and get the hatch sprayed again sometime soon. (they rust out and go bubbly inside etc)

    this color is great!

want to share details for every one, where you had it done, quality of the work (ie. closed door respray, or ...) and what it cost.

steering wheel/knob - nice combo as well.

All the info about parts and work i have done i will be putting under mods on my cars page in garage.
But for the purpose of this thread it was $2500 at Flynn Drive Panel and paint. The paint I am very happy with. My issues with it are as follows

    - No respect for cleanliness of the interior. Got it back and everything was coated with dust and shit... not impressed. Took me a good few hours to clean it all up to shine again.
    - I believe they split a part of the interior lining on my passenger door. Right on the top edge of that back column. can't see it when the door is closed and i'm re doing the entire interior so all though annoyed, it was going to be fixed anyways...
    - My boot leaks now? not re assembled right or have buggered a seal.. gotta look into that. It drains out when i open the hatch, and comes running out of the interior. So that is on my to do list this weekend
    - the blind spot mirror on my passenger side rear view mirror was missing. He said that any parts like that, would be left in the car. So i searched but didn't find it. I'll get onto him about that.

In saying all of this, $2500 for the Yellow Pearl, paint looks good and I am happy. Plus they fix the rust on my Targa, and painted my spare Targa, and painted my new nose panel (not installed yet, need my pod filter on).. It was also a cash job just so you know as well.

Steering wheel and gear stick knob are Momo Nero (both of them), they actually match. Very well made, and very neat installation. I love them. My favorite thing about the car at the moment hahah

That's a very good price, I thought you'd pay twice that. Gives me hope that when I get my stuff quoted, it won't cost me an arm and a leg. Some hope =[

I wouldn't let them do all the stripping parts off for the respray, I'd do as much as I can myself. Saves you money and you can do a better job in my opinion. If you take your time, read some guides and do it carefully, you can be better off than a professional who's never worked on a Z, and is going straight from experience.

Yeah I've learnt the hard way in regards to panel beaters but.. It really could of been worst so I won't complain for the price. I can still go snowboarding mid year now hahaha
And have my sexy yellow beast

    That's what matters :D
Good to see someone caring about their rare paint. It's all about rare paint for me ;) Many people would just respray in a black or a red, save a few hundred bucks.

To be honest I thought I was only getting a gloss yellow for the price. The Pearl Yellow was going to cost me over $8000 no matter where I went.
To my surprise when i picked it up... it was Pearl. And i swear it's the original Pearl. (Correct me if I'm wrong, especially anyone that see's it in person)

Loving it though. I'm not suppose to drive it to work (to save km's etc yadda yadda yadda) but I can't help myself at the moment haha

Also it is the same spoiler jinxed. I know I will have to change this later and pay again for the paint, but i couldn't get the infill stuff to get rid of it fast enough. And at the moment it isn't too bad.. So i shall see how it goes :)

It's a killer saving isnt it!
I'll let someone from the forum be the judge of how close it actually is to the original yellow pearl though. As I haven't seen on before.. Mine didn't have any yellow panels when i got her haha
