So new auto box... well newish installed.

I hear its not hard to screw the box from the very start.

Tips on making sure fluid is all through the box?

Just want to double check everything before I start celebrating.

Run a diagnostics to make sure everything is ok first. Make sure it's at operating temp.

Check fluid level , then with the engine idling and your foot on brake move the selector through each gear pausing at each to allow the fluid to to circulate through out the box.
recheck fluid levels and go for a drive.
recheck fluid levels , check for leaks and do a diagnostic

this is what we do at work. We also have a trans dipstick and a graph to measure what level the fluid should be at each temp.

Automatic Fluid -Correct method for checking the Auto Fluid level on a Nissan 300ZX is to bring the engine to operating temperature, keep engine idling, park vehicle on level surface, apply handbrake and place the gear lever in Neutral, now check the Dip stick and confirm at hot mark the fluid level is correct. Other manufacturers require the fluid level to be check just 10 seconds after turning the engine Off with gear lever in Park, They all have their reasons for the different methods, But remember the Oil is aerated or fluffed up when HOT. The Auto Transmission will still operate with very little fluid in it but will do damage if driven hard or long distance with minimum slip apparent on the initial take Off due to reduced oil pressure to the clutches
