Manual conversion

Hey guys

Recently i decided to convert my jap na auto to manual i now have all the parts, just gotta save for labour and extras,
What i wanted to find out was is there any mechanics or anyone who is very confident doing a a/t to manual swap??? For the right price.
Victoria location only and can bring the car there or can do the job in my garage.

Its a complete track drift car with no interior, anything during the swap that can be removed - aircon etc can just be ripped out. Dont give a shit
Will help out as much as possible during, anything to make the job easier.

its not all that hard to DIY in a garage with some basic tools. may be worth trying to bribe a couple of local members with some beer to come over and do it together in an afternoon? if $ are not an issue i dont think any decent mechanic would have any trouble with it.

 

organise a few tech happy members to come by and spend the cash on beer .
where in victoria you located? i dont mind helping out

Im in the eastern suburbs i was going to go to a mechanic but i wanted to learn myself and learn alot more about my car and ofcourse cheaper option aswell,

quick Q, is the plenum off? makes it easier to get the top bellhousing bolts with the intake plenum out.

Plenum isnt off will do that closer to the conversion date

 

Had a discussion about this with zxy-beast a few weeks ago, I've just ordered an engine and gearbox and all the assorted lovely bits, should be paid for and at my door within 2 weeks.

I've found a place near me in the Eastern Suburbs that hires out parts of their shop so you can work on your car (This includes engine stands, hoists, tools, etc) for a very reasonable price.

If you are keen, we could possibly do a joint tech day (;D) for 2-3 peoples cars (slightly larger amounts of work)

I'm willing to pay people that come along, and more for the well equipped/knowledgeable persons that can help, whether it be just telling me where to chuck a spanner or helping avoid any bad pitfalls that could wreck the whole install.

And beer/slabs of anything will be included .
