Hi all, I'm just in the throws of finally getting my prind and joy from NZ over here to S.A after being apart for about 14mths now,.. .. Thanks to the wonderful people at customs I will have the cleanist car in the state, given the $$$ it took to get it from their clutches . I have yet to do the whole compliance thing which no doubt will extract me of more $$$ and more hassles but can anyone help re- the registration as it was hinted to me I might be able to register it as a 'clubcar" ??
I would have thought that Aus and NZ would have the exact same A.D.R's like a lot of things so compliance should be a non issue.
^ Me too, because NZ wants so badly to be Australia In Victoria at least, club permits may be issued to cars 25+ years old, which rules out the Z32 for a few more years.
Ahem ... let him be, lads, he's one of our's now (crow eater). Just because he isn't able to speak the good Queen's english without sounding like an idiot (u-dee-ut) is a moot point too. And sheep aren't the done thing out this way - ever hear of a 'womba-9er'? What part of SA are you based in Kiwi Zedder? There are zones in regional areas where you are able to register as 'out of areas' which reduces registration costs... if you know the condition of the local roads then you'll understand why. I guess that doesn't help much if you're metro.
Well I guess the sheep puns had to come sooner of later... but I don't know what's funnier.. the "old" sheep jokes or the smart Kiwi enjoying your country and the $$ that he gets with it ... It will be intersting to see if the fellow Zedders can take as much as they give... all this coming from I believe the only place in the world with a freeway that is bi directional I mean.. wtf!! Anyway to answer your question Roadeater.. Aldinga which I doubt will come under that classification, oh well never mind
Try the Roo here Kiwi Z, it's in most supermarkets here as it's one of their delicacy's, better casseroled.
I'm pretty sure he's talking about the Southern Expressway in the south of Adelaide; one way for traffic coming into the city in the morning - changes direction in the afternoon for commuters heading home.
Tired the Roo mate, had it years ago and loved it though since I tried cooking it I found it a bit strong, need to get the women home and cooking more .
Yep that be the one.. I tell you, it even has the locals failry well f...d up , she will all be good once they finish the other half
Don't let these guys give you to much shite man, we might have to organise a Kiwi get together over in Aus one day and try to out number them LOL! I'd fly over to help with numbers
not sure if it will matter Mungy. We all know how they feel about numbers here....... Welcome to the forums its always good to see more Kiwis over here.
" ... outnumber them .... " ..lordy, the Gold Coast is already 90% KIWI ..... the longest CENTRELINK queues in Australia ... lol.
you may need to recheck that thought because any kiwi arriving after feb 2001 here on the standard kiwi visa is not entitled to ANY centrelink payments. ever. family tax rebate yes, but dole, newstart, healthcards, study allowances, disaster relief blah blah blah...
Kiwi Z, I wouldn't take offence to the F off we're full car stickers, that's just the friendly ozzy welcome to Oz. Kia Ora bro!
I need to put my last post in a little perspective as well. I am not demanding any of those payments or saying that we as kiwis here should be entitled to them. I just want to make it clear kiwis are now pretty much unable to easily bludge off the Aussie system. Unless we have Aussie born children. Or formally immegrate. Which is not that easy for kiwis..... Imegrating that is.
