We are interested in releasing a new version of our aftermarket tension rod brace. Where the previous model only fitted aftermarket twin pass radiators with different hose positions, this new model will fit standard and aftermarket radiators with the lower house in the stock position.

    ^ Version 1

These bolt in to the radius rod bolts and the lower control arm bolts on the crossmember. They tie in all the key front suspension loading points and are much more effective in minimalising front end flex than any front strut brace.

Chome molly, tig welds, previous model weighed about one kilogram. Supplied powdercoated satin black.

We are chasing 10 interested parties. Group buy price will be $350 each.

How will the new ones be different?

And can I swap my unfitted S1 for new version?

It says it will fit a standard rad now, the V1 only fits modified rads apparently.

No shit. They said the first one would fit stock rads too but they don't.

I want to know how V2 will differ from V1, and can my 'modified' but never used V1 be swapped for a V2?

Now, when I say 'modified', I mean I have drilled the bolt holes out so that the bolts actually fit through them. Which btw was the other defect in V1.

The new center beam will be slightly bowed to clear the stock radiator.

We have not heard of any other customer with that issue. We will take that into consideration with the V2.

We will swap your V1 for a V2 if you're happy to pay the difference.

Don't want to throw a spanner in the works but given the unforeseen fitment issues with the previous brace wouldn't it be a better idea to fan up a prototype before chasing interest...?

Woah ease up, thought you might of missed it.

I know someone with a V1 that installed it without a problem, no modification required.

Not with a standard radiator or one based off standard...

We are trying to gauge interest to justify the workshop time to modify the original jig. We will have a functional and tested V2 before the group buy is actually started. Thanks for your interest as always Rob.

We're interested in a re release but there is no point if there is no interest. The braces work very well when fitted so we are interested in sorting out the fitting issues for standard radiator Z32's. Thanks Ross.

Well since your a popular Z32 workshop, it shouldn't be too hard to find a stock 300 to test, photo's and prove fitment, 4 mounting points, 3 tubes connecting them, even in mild steel , even a quick mock up, might improve your sales, awaiting the noramal PM ;):D:D:D

It's easy to mod the radiator anyway. Any real radiator shop can change the outlet on an existing aly radiator.
