Well after a long and patient wait through our GB for the TwinZ rear bar,
It finally arrived today...... AND ITS DAMAGED :mad::bash:

Apart fom a few scathces and scuffs through the gel coat, I have a nice big crack through the drivers side of diffuser.. NOT HAPPY! Especially with the amount it cost and the time waiting for it to arrive..

Now i suppose the blame game between TOLL and UAS will begin on who's
    fault it may be..
Having said that it arrived wrapped only in a single layer sheet of bubble wrap.. what did they expect was going to happen to a intricate fibreglass rear bar being transported interstate.. Even my OEM 2k Bar came from them in a BOX!

mine also came in single layer bubble wrap much of which was destroyed and torn when it arrived to me in WA, i luckily didnt have anything more than surface marks.

sorry to here you werent so lucky.

i can only assume that you have contacted the appropriate people and are taking steps to have it repaired or replaced? if not, do so straight away.

    good luck

    Strap yourself in

UAS wouldnt have shipped it broken and I would doubt the courier would accept a broken one (if they noticed it) however as you eluded to they will duke it out over whose at fault, its when these things happen you really find out if people/companies stand behind their customers service pledges/promises. Fingers cross for a quick resoloution.

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

Sorry to hear about this Scotty - especially after the loooong wait for all this to come ahead. :(

you said it in a nutshell. This isn't enough packaging for a fragile fibreglass package to be delivered interstate. We all know how rough courier services are, so this should be accounted for with the original packaging/preparation for pickup. Sorry, but i'm not impressed by this either. Even my Carmate rear bar i ordered years ago came with better/safer packaging than what you described!

    Baroo TIMMAY!

    When you signed for it.

Did you sign for it saying there was damage to the bar? I work in spare parts and we never send bumpers the way we got these (yes I got one too, single layer thin bubble wrap not covering even the entire bar).

When we accept goods that look damaged we sign for them saying pending inspection or to that effect.

Hope the freight company resolves the issue as I doubt UAS would have knowingly sent it in that condition.

    katrinaz MOO IS MY BITCH

But they knowingly sent it in a manner where there is a likely chance it will be damaged in transit ;)
Sad to see you guys paid a fortune for these and nobody even factored in packaging, very unprofessional by all concerned
Ive seen the way uas send stuff out lol

good luck getting money from UAS..
Got a bomex bar through them and it was damaged, also arrived in a layer of bubble wrap.
Then they were going to put like $200 or something towards the $500 repair, but then they realised they made a mistake when charging post to me, and proceded to deduct it from the refundable amount. didnt bother with money from them, not getting anything through them again.

Ohhhh Yuk, That makes me sick!
My Twinz came with a 4 foot by 3 foot layer of bubble wrap also. I noticed scratches when i received the bumper. Easily fixed, but yours will need extensive work. That bumpers damages is either Tolls responsibility or UAS's.

I can't believe parts that God Almighty expensive could be couriered out in such a cavalier manner.

Based on this image, I would guess that UAS didn't even supply the single sheet of bubble-wrap. It defies belief.

Watching this with great interest. Please keep us posted.

i think the response you will get from Toll is that if it was damaged during tranist then its wasnt packaged properly.

yeah I had drama's too, Toll dropped mine at a different address (without signature), lost the diffuser fins & covered it in scratches/chips/etc.
Currently have a claim pending so will see how that goes, think my saving grace will be their (admitted) mis-delivery.

UAS have been really helpful though & have already mailed through a spare set of diffuser fins so touch wood we can both get decent results out of this mess.

I was going to stay out of this thread BUT you are drawing a very long bow there.

Neither of us (you or I) knows how or when or who packed the bars and what the response from the courier/insurer is or will be at this stage.

Stirring the pot like that is very irresponsible in your capacity as a moderator
