started smelling raw petrol around the engine bay late yesterday, and just discovered a very small leak coming from the first injector on the rail...

what are people's thoughts on driving the car with said leak..

ie.. fire risk high or low
will/can it get worse, at the moment it just looks wet, with no actual flow of fuel, but definate leakage:mad:

Fire risk is always gojng to be high. Might not be wet yet probably coz its evaporating. it will only get bigger from here.

    Fuel + heat = ?

fix it and forget. Shouldn't take more than 15 if you are a slow worker.

Do not drive it Geoff! After all that work, not worth it catching fire...

Fire risk - Who knows... But if it gets any worse, risk = high

Maybe someone going to the tech day has some injector o-rings?

    Just dont do it lol!

I use to smell fuel in my cabin, first thing i did was buy a fire extinguisher and mount it in the passenger foot-well. Never had to use it, and found the leak was the fuel filler neck.

Personally i still have my fire extinguisher and dont know why the arn't mandatory.
