    Hey Guys,

I was thinking of installing one of these and hiding the switch somewhere. I've had two friends in Sydney with top of the range alarm systems bypassed, car ecu's swapped, the whole thing but the would be car theives were stopped by a simple switch they couldn't find.

I'm wondering what the easiet way is to do this?

    Cheers - Biggie

Easiest would be off the FPCU. Have a look through the wiring diagrams and work something out ;)

I did this, used a 4-channel remote controlled relay on the FPCU and used the other channels for the doors and ignition circuit. Picked it up from Jaycar i think for about $100. Comes with key-fob, etc. Mounted it under neath the boot floor pan post FPCU so even if they think they are clever and bypass the FPCU, then it's still functional.

Zed4life is our local guru on this. Mark sells and installs ZIDs (zed immobilisation devise) too. PM him for good advice.

    Sweet, some good ideas there,

I'm going to replace my current alarm and imobilizer with the latest and greatest alarm system and also add my own DIY back up system. They'll need a tow truck to steal my car :)

I guess if a pro wants your car there's not much you can do, but I don't think the Z32 is on a pro's list of cars to steal.

I'll feel a lot safer knowing opportunistic dickheads will not be able to steal my car for a joy ride.
