Never had someone say shit about my car but my sisters Skyline has had rocks thrown in the exuast and her 180sx got keyed pretty bad. A mates R33 had a brick thrown at it as he was driving. Try driving a Magna. Not only people give you shit, but mechanics do to. When I had my TN, ive been told to "buy a real car" lol. On the Magna forum, someone has had a half eaten whopper thrown at him just for driving a Magna. These morons have the IQ of a pineapple.
haha it seems we all have a similar story!! I was once abused by a lady in a bunged up falcon. I was exiting the fwy, in my own lane, minding my own business, and she decided to merge right toward the middle of my car. Luckily she saw me in time and swerved back into her lane. I looked at her with a >:| face, and carried on, still minding my own business. I didn't beep, or abuse her, or even open my mouth. Just a little face. She pulled up next to me at the lights about 2 minutes down the road, wound down her window and abused the crap out of me. "you pretentious little snobby cow!! kthnxbye, as if you could beat anything in a race you snob, how dare you get around on the streets with licence plates like that it just makes you look like your up yourself!!" and a fair bit more ranting, and plenty of swearing. Her boyfriend then leant over from the passenger seat and started. At this point im absolutely crapping my dacks because I thought they were gonna jump out of the car and attack me haha she was so fired up! They were so busy having a go at me that the driver didn't notice that the light had turned green and I left them well behind. Besides that, the most negative feedback I had about it was when I worked at repco. Miserable bunch they are, always bagging on it. For the love of the zed, nothing anyone says matters to me. It's MY car, that I spend MY hard earned money on, and i'm not forcing them to buy it, or drive it, or even have the privilege of being my passenger

Suprisingly no negative comments but positive for my z32. Though saying that last weekend missus and me were driving and got stuck at traffic light. Wad late. A late model french hatchback (renault peugeot or citro makes no diff same pos) p plater. It was a two door so had this half pissed snot boy pointing to my car and the white line. Had the stereo up and windows closed couldnt be arsed moving any of it. Missus asked wtf is with that guy? Who cares just ignore him. I was assuming he wanted me to lign them up for a drag race. Lol fully loaded 1.4l pug auto vs twin turbo v6 z Waste of ultimate 98. Light went green i just stood there while they planted it sticking middle fingers at us. I took off normaly shortly after another set of lights which were red and they almost stationary.i was getting closer and bout 10m before i got there they ran a red light. Wtf seriously p plate curfiew and one passenger only should be next change. When i had my 260z never ever had any negative comments. Kids in cars next to me were stuck on the glass. Older ppl givib me thumbs up. Even bogans screaming accross the road GO DATTO. Geez i miss that car.
have to say I get a lot of good comments and I have a total POS from the looks side of things, if its not a good comment its a genuine querry as in what is that? the fact I work nights and they only see it in the dark is always helpfull lol. This being said I still get the usual load of Bogans in their dunnydores etc trying to race me. in fact the last one was a 308 hq stato in total stock form he managed to get 1 wheel spinning while I was sitting there laughing at him for even suggesting it, I let him go didnt figure it was worth wasting the fuel on
i cope heaps of crap from my local auto barn, but 2 of the guys used to own them and they pretty much bagged me out when i mentioned the things im fixing, cause they have been down the road of the Z poor audio install bloke... he was a big bloke working through the rear seats to install the rear speakers... had to give him a bottle of jimmy for that effort
i got a 94 ford fairmont ghia which im stickin a 5litre efi in and ive got a vx dunnydore ,all good fun ,the zed runs rings around both of them
Honestly, who gives a shite. You either drive a car out of necessity; i.e. you have no other choice of the cars at your disposal... Or you drive a car because YOU like the way it looks and feels. Seriously who gives a shite what others think, if you are so peer-pressure weak then go buy a Honda Civic or Hyundai with a monster body kit. The true measure of a man is knowing what they personally want and sticking with that choice.
Meh, my mates didn't like my car either and wouls say its slow and would only run a mid 16 . They all seemed to change their minds when they end up as a speck in the rearview.
the fact is on a typicals days drive the amount of positive feedback recieved for a Z would definately outway any negative from the Haters.... like someone else said, I seem to get a lot of looks from the younger crew, their heads are always turned for a while as they walk past my house and up the street, can't take their eyes off of it... some people look around when they hear the sound of it coming down the street and it always gets some attention at the lights.. theres always going to be some negatives.. like those douchbags who sit right behind you even when you are already doing 80 in a 70 zone.. yeah, it may be a fast car, but the fact is there are still speed limits, and in any car speed is a matter of how far you are willing to push it to risk a ticket if the boys in blue are just around the corner... I actually drive this car slower than my old car, I already know what it is capable of so i dont mind sitting behind the pack and enjoying the cruise.. I think this thread has proven that Z drivers are truly enthusiasts, they are an awesome car that deserve to be appreciated, we're not all wankers waiting for that next drag off the lights, 20 years on they still have lots of appeal and turn more heads (good or bad) than almost any other car on the road. that say's something... screw the haters!!!
