now this originally came from a thread on http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2251490/yo.html

also if u look at the 2nd pics properties the link is on the 300zxclub sight. they might have had a thread on it there? http://300zxclub.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=40476&d=1213545668

hopefully someone can find more info on it

That is alot of effort!,It would have taken a while. It is better than the "Hood" IMO

Is it just me, or do those gauges face away from the driver?

I'm also looking to replace my din-slot-setup to make way for a double-din carputer.

That is sexy... But lots of work to get them in.
UGAYm was selling one ages ago but I pulled out of the sale when I realized the dash had to come out, cut a hole into it...

Is the best looking though I must admit.

Btw... He (ugame) buys a 350 and all of a sudden, pisses off? I miss his pointless posts and not so funny threads in NZR...

i think ur mistaken the one shown for this http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?...category_id=73&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7

there not the same, the one shown in first post has to be a full custom one.

No I know they're different, however both need the dash cut open for the gauges to sit in... Otherwise, it needs to be a "hood" so the gauges aren't actually sittin in the dash, you know what I mean???

yeah ofcoarse the hood ones are ugly. the dash has be cut out but i dont see a problem with that if the unit is going to stay there for good.

yup thats where the original idea came from

That looks awesome. Its the first time i've ever seen a 3 guage set up that I would put in my Zed. Looks factory. Love it.

I had gotten in touch with the owner of that Z and asked if he would replicate his work and sell it to me.... sadly, he said it takes a lot of modification and test fitting to get it right and unless he was physically here, it would be a nightmare.

I'd definitely cut a hole in my dash, once I put that in place I would never remove it so it would not matter... but I also like the fact that out of my 9 gauges, only 3 will be easily seen, so it's not screaming "break into my car!!!!!!"

he wouldnt have to really do anything. it would be pretty easy to replicate, just take it down to a body shop and get them to replicate it in fibreglass hehe. could just fibreglass the top section, and then sell it off. then whoever gets it would just mould it themselves to their own cluster etc.... or u could even get the whole thing fibreglassed.

    even plastic moulded

some experts would be able to replicate it :(

The weird thing is apart from the Z32 all the Z's had 3 gauges in that sort of position, It was always a part of the Z philosophy I thought, I was quite disapointed to find the Z32 was the only one not to follow this theme
