you Vic guys get hesitant about taking the Zed out in such heat??? I know I do and I only have an NA. Maybe I'll go put a few bags of ice in the engine bay. Actually, they wont fit..CheersJEDI-77
I'm doing some track work tomorrow So, I will have to get some octan booster to prevent pinging, as mine is a TT and usually runs on 100RON in Japan.Winton race way by the way.
My Z is not a happy camper in this sort of heat, the heat soak on the turbos kills boost and makes the induction noise sound like some one turned on a wind tunnel fan.
It was 46 where im from yesterday and last weekend my friend thought it would be a good idea to get dynod in 40degree heat :-0 my Zdoes ok in the heat, the temp is right in the middle and i do NOT get into boost whatsoever
No problems for RedZed >>> showed 44 on the ambient at 4pm and the news said 44.1 max. Noticed a fair few other cars parked with bonnets up tho. Just didn't hit the loud pedal hard, presumably power would be down.
42 to 44 in some parts of Syd. and cruising in the zed is no issue.alps must be red zeds that keep on going...
5 - 6 laps before the temp went up to "H" It was a good day. I kept up with a V8 Monaro down the straight. So much for their 235kw. After 5 to 6 laps I came in as the temp guage started to creap up. No sens in blowing the thing up over a bit of fun.
