    mr zed x chassis scrubbin..

and for 17 grand why would you.

its WAY to overpriced for a car in not that good nick from what i see no offence.. regardless of whether its L.E or not.

    kindest regards.

Other than the front lip, the car looks to be in quite good condition. But yes, the front lip could do with some TLC. The interior looks good, and the steering wheel does not even appear to have much in the way of wear and tear. So:

    a) the car does seem to be in good shape (only from what I can see in the pics)
    b) the car is a limited edition run. Yes, this probably only has real value to an enthusiast, but it has value. The same way that an aus spec will fetch more than a j-spec (in like-for-like condition), a 25th anniv will fetch more than an aus spec (again in like-for-like condition). Likewise, all the same stillen stuff can be put on the car but it will never be a 25th anniv. model
    c) This type of car will be of no importance to any flog who wants to buy it and put a "PuMpiN' sTEzz", 25" rims and have it fully lowered to look SIK! etc as it will lose value. People in this category should buy a standard zed and screw it up - not a collectors item like this model.

I don't consider 17k for a 25th to be excessive. Maybe slightly high, but until a detailed look at the car is performed I reserve judgement. :)

And Yellow300zx, it's not like you're missing out. TT zeds are in Australia you know! What are you missing out on?
    - Warranty? Nup, expired years ago.
    - Ability to have your car serviced at a Nissan dealer. Nup. Those muppets don't know our cars at all. Better off at an independant specialist.
    - Parts? Not anymore. Businesses like TTZED, CazRacing & Coz have filled all those gaps. Besides Nissan Australia carry very few parts anymore for z32, and the stock is dwindling...

    What about insurance?

I can't say with any certainty as I haven't owned one, but I expect that "most" insurance companies would have categories for aus-spec & grey import only. Not sure that the 25th model would be considered too much different from an aus spec. And whether that's at a higher cost than a standard aus spec is unknown. But you would be able to more easily insure it than a j-spec. I expect other factors such as age & driving history would have more impact to the amount paid.

    mr zed x chassis scrubbin..

A - the front is stuffed so it would need a re-spray, and if you have tried to color match 20 year old paint im sure you would be unimpressed with the time it took, therefore making it easier to do a full re-spray yet costing an arm and a leg for such a small area you need fixed.

B - there is a green P plater selling it. what's the likely hood its been flogged and raced? again why is a P plater selling it if its of no interest to these "young" people like my self your referring to im sure.

C - 25" rims may not be to your taste but neither may a stock car to others.. Yeah it may be a collectors car, but at the end of the day a zed is a zed. its no faster no better than a standard one except a little badge and a $300 front lip.
And not every car that is fully SIK is a POS. without those "fully sik" cars we would have no exterior modifications or car shows (i.e - autosalon) and the likes, so whether its a collectors car or standard zed i dont think you can "stuff them up".

17 grand for a not up to scratch zed, that mind you - the forum has many of plenty better condition, naturally aspirated, green zed.

i think you have got to be joking.
i wouldn't pay that for it even it was in perfect condition, consider 15 or 14 thousand?

    again. WAY over priced.

    kindest regards.

    yellow300zx Pimpin Ain't Easy

    Nothing

Was only comparing what we got to the americans with the special edition wise, we get an NA , they get a TT, that was my main complaint nothing else.

If you want one for under 15k then look at a normal zed
    Not going any lower

IMO (and I mean my opinion) you're trying to sell a car with a damaged front bar, with 170,000km+ on it, from 1995 which is owned by a P plater, has had 3 previous owners, is considered a Jap import and you still want top dollar for it. 1 of 40 and 25th anniversary edition doesn't mean much when no one is buying cars in the current situation and/or no one wants one. The only thing that sets your car apart from the rest of the Aus-Specs I believe is a body kit, some wheels, steering wheel and a 14 year old sticker. This isn't no Phase III GTHO ;)

It might be worth $17,500 for an Enthusiast, but to joe public, thats a different story.

His car his price, so stop being an ares

His car his price, so stop being an ares. You are not going to badger the price down. If I had the garage space I would be looking at buying a 25th Anniversary.

By the way the front bar can be cleared up for $600 to $1000.
