    Great Fuel Economy!

Just did a 352 Kilometre trip from Bendigo to Melbourne Car Show (Jeffs Shed) and a signwriting (Visual Impact) exhibition (Melb Showgrounds) and back home.

Fuel was full when I left, and just filled up today (36.16 Litres) and returned 9.7 litres per 100 ks. Not bad when factory figures suggest 11.6 lts/100 km.

Goes to show everything is running sweet :zlove:

Any one want a perfect Zed for $10 Grand!!! Be quick, I ordered my new ute this morning!!!!!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SELL A ZED?
Not even a nibble? Kinda odd for an exceptionally great zed which Ive had absolutely nothing wrong with it for around 2 years.
Everything on the car works perfectly, its clean, reliable, confortable, exceptional fuel economy (as good as any V6 Commodore).
The person who eventually buys this car will get a car that will give them great low cost motoring and a bargain at that! Has plenty of rego left, and insurance cost is very reasonable through Shannons.
Has anyone here on the site sold a ZED recently? if so how long did it take?
Come on Guys MAKE ME AN OFFER!!!

There is just no market at the moment, sign of the times really. Just because nobody will buy it doesn't mean it's not worth your original asking price. All you're going to end up doing is selling it for under 6 grand to some douche nozzle teenager who will ruin it

Sorry man, personally I think it's a great buy, even though I haven't seen it in person.

I would have snapped it up except for the following:

    • I live around 3000Km's from you, so it's hard to see it in person
    • For the same reason as above, it will cost me around $1000 to get it, plus airfares
    • At the same time as you offered yours there was another newer car available for less money
Other than that, I think I would have jumped at it. You never know, if something goes wrong with my second view of the one I am interested in (this Saturday), you would be my second choice, but I don't think you would like my offer.

I AM PUTTING THE PRICE BACK UP TO $14,000.
This car is almost like new, so no need giving it away, cause I searched for about two years to find one this good, and being a rare slicktop at that!
Im sure if I kept it for a couple of years longer, and keep it good condition, I might actually get the same money anyway. So its at least better than putting money into shares at least!

    Thanks anyway for the comments.

I think you have taken the right step. The market is crap and everybody is trying to take the advantage. Just relax and enjoy the car and you will see there will be a right buyer will pop up at right time.

    Yeah

By what everyone is saying the end of the year will still be worse than it is now so years from now maybe the market might be back, so if you can wait around 3 years to get ya price go for it :D (but then it might depreciate more after that time normally anyways) so either way its lose lose if u sell now or wait.

You cant put your life on hold just because of a bit of "Gloom N Doom" in the financial markets.
Hey, I take delivery of a brand new Nissan Navara Ute next week, hence the sale of the zed. Its because of this gloom that I am able to pick up the new vehicle for around $8,000 off the normal price. A big PLUS for me!
Life goes on . . . if you dont have shares or dependant on your superannuation, and you have a job, then the financial situation can be taken as an advantage. Bank interest rates are at their lowest that I have ever seen in 27 years of owning a home, houses have dropped dramatically, so now is a good time to buy a home.
I was talking to a financial guy yesterday, and from a book he read that was written in 2004 about the future financial crash of 2008, suggests the markets will start to pick up again in 2011.
Perhaps if we didnt have television or radio to scare us all into panic, then most of us would be "non the wiser" and carried on regardless.

    Yeah

Thats my point you either hold off aka put it on hold or you go with the slump in the market, seen zeds on carsales for 6 - 12 months now not selling cause they just aint the interest for spending that kinda cash in these kind of times.

You might get lucky and sell your yellow zed for 5 grand!

  14. yellow300zx

    yellow300zx Pimpin Ain't Easy

    Doubt it

I'm considering keeping it, and mine is in almost just as good condition as yours with just abit more k's, not high by anyones view, plus mines a manual and yellow :D

2261 HITS!!!, Im seeing if I can go for a record to see how many "HITS' I can get before it sells!
Obviously people are looking, only one guy has actually taken the car for a test drive, he was very impressed and quite surprised on how clean & tidy the car was. He was also considering a Mazda MX5 convertible caus he thinks it will be cheaper to run. Not yet got back to me.
    Thanks for looking!

So basically you are telling me that its probably a waste of time trying to list it for sale on Carsales?
Eric has his convertible for sale on Carsales, and said the same thing, 1000's of hits but no bites.
Must be that everyone is holding back due to the "Recession", but any economist knows thats what keeps a recession going . . . . no one spending!
I might try selling the "Eureka" instead of the zed.
If the Eureka doesnt sell, then I can look on the bright side, Im gonna have a lot of fun driving two sports cars, Hmmmmm, which one will I drive today? It will be like that old tattslotto advert on the TV, where all the sports cars are lined up, and having one for each day of the week. I currently have 6 vehicles in the shed, all registered and drivable!
Might have to get me another one!

.. seems that new cars are being sold at bargain basement prices, thus impacting the used car market ....

    .. wifey's Merc reached 14,000 hits today ... and still nothing ...!!!!!

  20. yellow300zx

    yellow300zx Pimpin Ain't Easy

    Yeah

That plus the governments 30% rebate on new cars for business's ontop of the already being able to claim depreciation against ya tax is why my parents just bought a new car :D , the used car market is suffering being of yeah the recession, then being so much choice out there now for bargin prices cause of that and adding to that, what I just said above, helps all that again.

Oh and I look on carsales and here when I'm just bored so I guess I wouldn't be alone in that and carsales being a bigger site.....
