300ZX Short Shift kit with Nissan bushes $86.00

These 300ZX short shifters are designed to give you shorter shift throws and quicker response. The shift kits are manufactured to precise tolerances for a direct bolt in installation.

With less distance between throws, you can shift faster and more accurately on the track and on the street. Shortens the shift throw by 30-40%.

Installation is very straight forward and can be in your car within an hour. It's smooth and positive feel can be attributed to the polished hemispherical bearing that has been incorporated into the design.

Kit comes with a set of Genuine NISSAN Shifter bushes.

Fits stock gear knob perfectly(gear knob not included)

    Optional:
Brass Shifter Bushes are available for an extra $33

    EXPRESS POST $11.50 Australia Wide.

is it shorter in terms of the hight it sits at as well? Like does it lower the shift knob at all? Ive been looking for something like this if so.

The shift knob position will not change a great deal, this is a true 'short throw shifter' not a 'shortened shifter'.
A true short-throw shifter is longer than a stock shifter?the lengthened portion is below the control socket (fulcrum). The shift knob will remain at stock height; in fact the only way you will know that it's a short-shifter is when you shift?it will be a shorter throw.
Fitting a different shaped gear knob can make it appear shorter as the stock Zed one is long.

ok... and what are the advantages of the brass bushes??
Also, can you recommend a knob that fits and doesn't show the shifter shaft? Like other knobs that i have tried.

I've got one that looks identical. Shifter height does not move at all.

100% definately absolutely get the bronze shifter bushings. These eat the nylon bushes in a matter of weeks. My bronze ones have been going strong for 6 months with no sign of slop.

Hey Chrispy, when you say that they eat the Nylon bushes in a matter of weeks is that the Genuine Nissan bushes you mean? Or the cheapo white bushes that some of them come with?

I don't want to sell something that will need bushes replaced after a few weeks  Thats why I bought the Genuine Nissan bushes for them.

    Thanks Chrispy :)

Thats an easy fix, I had the same problem with my Razo knob, all I did was put a lucky band underneath to hold it up and it works great.

Should this make my gear changes more smooth and less crunchy?(especially getting into 5th)

Or can it be a number of things not related to the shift-kit?

caz, leave out the nissan bushes, factor out their price, and include the brass ones instead. You might have to put up the price a little though.

Good idea URHYNS, $105 with brass bushes + $10 reg post or $11.50 Overnight Express post.
I will get the mods to either alter this ad or delete and re-do.

GB on Nissan shifter bushes  lol

I thought I was doing the right thing, but it seems Nissan shifter bushes for Nissan Shifters and Brass is Best for aftermarket short throw shifters :)

I had a washer that JUST fits over the thread but not over the shaft - put the boot over that and it holds it up - works a treat :)
