for a while now i have had brake squeel issues, since upgrading to the 324mm rotor... I have tried 3 types of pads, bendix ultimates, advanced and some forodo ds2500s. all were bedded in. I have the stock shims in but am starting to think its do do with the larger rotor kit. Any other ideas i should be checking?

    im outta ideas:rolleyes:

How do the rotors look? Here's a failed tech article I wrote :(

Also, are you 100% sure they were bedded in right? How old are the rotors? Mine took a few hundred km's before I realised I'd done it wrong and needed to get the rotors and pads hotter to bed them in properly. Finally got them properly bedded in with some hard run/brakes and problem went away. Also, some new rotors have quite a bit of top layer to get rid of before they stop squealing.

nothing whoring about anything ive posted dude...

is it the usual squeal only when applying the brakes? or a constant squeal, and if youve changed then pads with no change perhaps its the rotor? checked that they have not glazed over causing the squeal

    Reducing brake Squeal

1/Remove the pads and rub the pad over sand paper or concrete to scratch the glaze on the pad surface .
2/ Get a file and chamfer the edges of the pad.
    3/ Re-assemble and give it a try.

You can buy a pressure pack spray that you spray on the rotor that can be a big help.

You can get a red rubber liquid that you apply between the rear of the pad and the piston.

Brake places can sell you an adhesive patch that goes between the rear of the pad and the piston.

The scratch, chamfer and the spray combination worked the best for me.

I have used the red goo before between pad and piston and it works well.
