    Hi all,

Just a question to VIC zedders, which mechanic do you use?

I was following Joe around from Nissport, to Dontex (he worked at another place in between but I can't remember the name) and then Black Stallion motors. I understand that he no longer works there. I still use Dontex when Warren was the owner, but now that Warren is gone, and I can't say I am too impressed with the new owner/mechanic. So where do VIC zedders go now?

    Thanks for the input.

sry typing on the phone my bad. Im no qaulified mechanic by any means just a z enthusist willing to help out other z owners if i can.

    i can do most basic service jobs on a z including;

    oil and filter change
    fuel filter change
    air filter
    battery testing
cooling system testing (pressure and fluid testing)
    brake fluid testing
    brake and rotor service
    tyre thread measuing
    conzult testing
    transmission fluid and filter service

just to name a few small things i can do. and as i work at repco i can get good deals on all service parts to help reduce costs and when it comes to payment for my services i just just ask to be payed what you think the work ive done is worth.

Rocking up in a 300zx to a normal mechanic, may as well be driving a lambo. Hot tip drive into a nissan dealership and look at the cars the mechanics drive if you see anything nissan JDM out back they will look after you.

I've had Adam service my Z32 every year since I purchased it around 2013 and can vouch for the excellent service he provides, very thorough (I mean... he even has the genuine fitted bonnet protector thing when doing work over the engine bay).

Depending what side of town you are on, a lot of Zed owners take their car to Westside Automotive Solutions in Ravel Hall (near Caroline Springs, west of Melbourne). Dean Lakis runs the shop and has been working on Zeds for many years now, many happy customers from their.

I do all my own Zed work, but if its anything that I can't manage at home, like an engine rebuild, clutch change etc, I'll be going to see Deano.

You can find them on Facebook with contact details.

After being ripped off and had shoddy work done by a number of mechanic in the Dandenong area, I finally found one that does awesome work on my '89 Z.

I highly recommend Jake at Goose's Autos at 9 Quinn St, Dandenong VIC 3175 .

unfortunately i dont know anyone really qaulified in the area for that particular service. i would recommend maybe Z shop in glen irisi i think they are the only z shop i know of that knows z32s well enough to have that servi e done. i have done the 100k service myself only once back in 2014 but i did have help from a mechanic froend and my dad. i have yet to do the job myself so i can say ive mastered the task properly.
