GTX2863R on 98 Octane - what size injectors?

What size injectors should be used for 98 Octane fuel with GTX2863R running at their max boost of 36psi?

And if anyone knows what size injectors for GTX2867R @ 32psi boost?

I've read lots of varying answers so would like to know from someone who actually runs these turbos.

Well you are NOT going to run 36psi on 98, thats for sure.
On 98 the 740 will be alright as long as the rest of the fuelsystem is upgraded. Fuellines included

I'm heading that way, onnnne day lol.
Injector dynamics 1000cc or 1300cc are the common choice for the GTX2863's and the big builds.
    I chose ID1000cc for mine : 0

No real benefit on using gtx without big boost (ethanol).

98 only, 1000s will do. But with your build, why stop there. Do it once, do it right.

    I am using bosch 1650s.

Id 1700. With a triple pump set up.
Id 2000. With 4 pump set up.

Either one will do the trick.
70 or 80 psi full flight should do the trick..
I would run 6k rpm and 7k rpm a little richer as well.
Alow 500rpm for over rev as well. Limit to 7500.

This is what you run with E85 with 50psi fuel pressure .
    plenty
    .

    .

I'm maxing out my ID1300cc with dual pumps (which will make 600rwkw)

On 98 1300cc injectors are better (and handle E85 WHEN you convert :p)
(The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions)

    8AN fuel feed/return on E85. minimum

You wont run more than 24psi on 98 (even then you are pulling back timing to be safe)

Both turbos GTX63 and 67 will make up to 600rwkw on E85
I would run the GTX63 as it will spool better and doubt you will make more power with the GTX67 as the GT28 NS111 turbine wheel with the .64 is at its flow limit.

If you want bigger go GTX2967R :zlove:

36PSI and 98RON fuel, that's cute. You NEED ethanol to run that much boost, full stop.

If on 98 you'll find 23-26 will be your peak

You'll only just start seeing a gain from gtx/gt at that level.

750cc will cover the comfortably and can be in side feed if funds are an issue with a single walbro 460

If you want to unleash the potential.
    Twin in tank pumps
With 1300 and some line work will see you there but pray you have a strong head set up / studs as US guys have seen some head lift issue that high

thanks. Most likely will go with 1300cc with BDE top feed rails

Just need to work out what machining is done to the lower plenum injector ports to get the injectors to sit at standard height. I'm hoping the right sized end-mill bit plunged into the existing ports to the base of the countersunk hole is all that is needed.

With the newer kits you don't need to machine the lower plenum -shoot me a PM if you have any questions I have both types of kit sitting here and happy to explain anything (including specs for machining to suit glue in adapters if that's what you're after)

don't the new ones make the injectors sit 11mm higher

I would think that might affect the spray pattern.

That's right -any bolt on adapter (regardless of brans/kit) is going to sit the injector higher than OEM position although for most people this preferable to machining the lower plenum and the cars that I have fit to or supplied for don't seem to know the difference. If you're a stickler for detail and want stock injector depth then yes machine lower plenum and glue old style adapters in. I have both here and can supply machining specs for retaining OEM depth. If you're planning to use 1300cc injectors at OEM depth you'll need specially machined adapters due to the position of the connector on the injector body -I have those too ;)

    no entirely right ?

part of the reason I run my fuel set up is because of spray pattern and position

here is mine ...series 2 plenum with winfactory top feed .. allows the injector sit close to oem.
series 1 obviously is a different story

Hi Rob only said slightly higher than stock as you can see with that step. If you wanted it to sit flush you'd have to machine the seat inside the lower plenum. Series 2 would definitely be ideal shame the heads are NLA.

i have 2200cc with the bolt on adapter and Magnafuel 750 fuel pump with surge tank. More than enough fuel but after running out last time I don't want it to ever be a problem especially with dry nitrous.

Turbos will be gt2871 with gtx wheel and .86 housings running so hot I'll weld with the air :D

I agree about injector positioning but povo spec slap together build can't justify it.
