    Hi All

I have been lurking around for a little while so thought it would be good write what i have been up to with my car.

Purchased the car from a forum member August october last year.

It had a fair amount of work done to the car already, most of the suspension was sorted, the motor had been freshened up but it did have a few little issues.

since purchasing the car I have done a few things

    Replaced leaking radiator
    fixed up the ageing interior
Replace gearbox with a rebuild box
    new clutch
new clutch save and master cylinder

had the car running really well when the drivers side turbo let go. so have pulled the motor, rebuilt the turbos, completed the 100K service and while doing this found a few issues. Think the previous owner had some issues with mechanics and there were a few short cuts taken with this car.

It had some breathing issues, some maintenance was done however not properly so ended up stripping most things down and replaced all gaskets, washers, nuts and studs. things have slowed a little over the last few months but managed to find some time over the last few weeks. The motor is back together just a few water lines to tidy up and it can go back in.
then just a retune as the car had a heap of air leaks so want to make sure it is sorted.

enough of my rambling here are some pictures.

I feel for ya, trying to work on cars in a very limited space is challenging :(

BTW I think white wheels on silver looks much better than dark wheels on silver :zlove:

Leather seats look comfy, I assume they are leather covers over the stock seats?

Yeah the seat are covers from interior innovations I also bought new seat foam. I'm pretty happy with the end result.

Have had a Little progress things are slow with a new born. The motor is complete and ready to go back in, just trying to slot a weekend in to fit the motor and box hopefully in the next few weeks.

then it is just a matter of fitting the new boost controller, some new tyres and getting the car retuned.

will be nice to have it back on the road.

    stating to look the goods.

license plate is funny as well for a standard plate.......

  10. Looks sharp man. What was postage time like from interior innovations? Going to be placing an order in the next fortnight. Also, just curious about the thickness of the material used on the seat covers... does it feel thin in any spots like the bolster etc?

The postage time frame was really good from memory less than a week.

the quality and finish is very very good would recommend to anyone. the material thickness is even over everything. the only thing i ordered the seat foam which does sit a little higher than the original foam but i'm sure that will settle over time.

best tip from me is a little bit of heat will heap stretch the leather over the frames etc. aint a fun task ;)

  12. Awesome man. I was just a tad sceptical because of the price, trimmers over here have quoted over 2k for pretty much the same thing. Either way hope it comes out half as good as yours.

It's not too hard, zip ties help to pull the material in then use the hog rings.
Also found a good bourbon helps ;)

Seats should look more like this, it's a job that needs patience to get right.

Managed to get some work done over christmas.

the motor and box is back in, just about everything has been plugged back in. cranked the motor over with out plugs or injectors to get some oil moving through the motor again, only to find out the FRP is now leaking fuel. so have a new one on order but that should be it once that is sorted.

Engine looks good, shame about the FPR but at least it's only a minor setback. You must be looking forward to starting it up for real...

    Time to start her!!!

Starts and runs well just a code 34 on the ecu which I need to look at, have a feeling I forgot to plug the knock sensor in.

Code 34 sorted, was bad wiring in the loom that is all fixed. Now just a matter of bleeding the radiator, tidy a few things in the interior and take it for a drive.
