infinity kappa 6.1s and bose

    anyone had any luck mounting infinity kappa 6.1 speakers in bose front speaker boxes spaced out??? im only using the rear half of the box.

    they need 70mm clearance according to specs
    . just thought id ask before re-inventing the wheel !!

    Did you take the door trims off and have a look? From memory (mine were truly rooted and blown), the fronts weren't a perfect 6" for aftermarkets, and the amp/box assemblies don't do much except add weight. IMHO, it's better to have a cavity space in the door so there is a bit of bass coming out of the speakers as well.

    inifinty are harmon kardon, just some info for you. which is obviously good gear.
    I'd dynamat the doors aswell if your going to put them in, to get the most of them. If you have the specs on the speakers, look for the V.A.S. number, which is how much volume it needs for compression space.
