E85 and oem fuel filters.

    As title says. Gonna run e85 does the nissan oem branded filters work? They dont collapse or fall apart or anything?

    Work fine but i put a new one in after my first tank of e85

    I think it may be fine . But good advice would be to run it for a little bit and cut the filter open a see what it looks like. Then after more time jas past and e85 is more regularly used the fuel filter should be cut open again and examined. If all good is good. Then your good to go.

    Yeah that is what ill do. Even if some guys are running it now need a change? Cut it open and take some photos and report what they find.

    It will rust it eventually. If you want to do it properly you need an e85 safe unit.

    The only concern you would be likely to encounter would be a restriction to the flow rate.
    If the stock fuel lines flow enough then there shouldn't be a problem.
    Cutting & inspecting the fuel filters when replaced should be a standard course of action, same deal with oil filters.
    If you see very fine black particles caught in the filter medium, you'd better think about changing the rubber fuel lines.
