    Updates!

Molded the Winfactory CSL-R spoiler into the hatch. The fitment of the raw piece was incredible, very well worth the money.

The sideskirts and flares have been bonded to the body, the screws are temporary. The TBO side skirts took so much work to fit correctly, the door sizing was way off, one side was too long the other too short. They fit perfectly now. The TwinZ rear bumper has been edged and permanently installed.

Looks fantastic! Are you doing the body work yourself?

    Great work mate.

Is the CSL-R the smaller or larger of the two versions?

R is the 'race' one Erik, so larger. Have certainly done a nice job blending it into the hatch, well done

As above, the "S" signifies Street.

Great work on the bodywork. I'm molding in my CSL-R too. What technique did you use? I have a vague plan in mind to make it stupid super strong, I really don't want it separating in a few years. It would be awesome if someone made a fibreglass 2+2 hatch, I'd jump on that in a heart beat and would never have to worry about separation.

My wing didn't fit perfectly. Wasn't bad, but hang down a good 1/2 inch too low (beyond the actual edge of the hatch) on the passenger side (your drivers').

I am not doing the body work, I wish I was able to do body work this well though. My body shop wizard has been doing this kinda thing for the past 30+ years. He is incredible artist when it comes to body work.

He bonded the spoiler to the bare metal hatch. No need to worry about it ever separating. It's a special bonding agent specifically for plastic to metal.

Thanks for all the love guys! Can't wait to see it in paint!

  9. the r32 lights actually suit it. i like this. you going for the clean flush look at the join of the rear guard?

    Yeah... no...

there is no proven permanent way to do this or it would be widely utilised and not the go-to criticism of molding in panels.

Ask him if he used bondo :p

We are keeping the factory body line at the rear bumper. Not a fan of smoothing out the bumper lines.

Haha, nooo he didn't use bondo to attach any of the body panels. With over 30 years of body work experience he knows what he is doing.

Glass has been pulled, the body is all in primer now for the fun part... block sanding...

Those green smears on the cardboard scrap sitting above look like bondo to me :p I don't want to rain on anybody's parade, but I'm doing the same thing with my CSL-R so it pays to ask what works for people.
