It's time for a GOR cruise! At this stage the 2 suggested dates are 21/22 Feb & 21/22 March, although I'm open to other dates if the masses would prefer it. Even thinking of running it on a Sat instead of a Sun which means we may be able to leave a little later than a Sunday cruise. Also, we might do a 'classic' GOR cruise which means a trip to a bit past Apollo Bay with plenty of stops to enable plenty of chatting time. Fire away with your thoughts & suggestions!
Count me in col. Happy with either sets of dates. Also happy with your suggested cruise route plan. Bring on the GOR boys.
Col... Hi Col, for me, later in Feb or early march works best for me. March 22nd is Judith and Viviens Bday, so that rules that weekend out for me ... I was thinking of this the other day and was going to contact you, but you bet me to it. Anyway, I was thinking that we should do the old stop at Point Danger at Torquay like the old GOR cruises?? We haven't done it for a while and I always think its a great stop. Aside from that, the normal blast to Apollo Bay, Fish and Chips and then back sounds great to me. Happy to help with organisation as we did speak about this a couple of months back. Will be in touch. Cheers
Thanks Col, I've been feeling a need for a nice cruise down the GOR lately. So I think it's perfect timing. My preferred date would also be Feb 21/22, the sat or sunday doesn't bother me. Whichever would be less likely to have traffic. Looking forward to hearing what's decided. Cheers, Andrew
Brilliant work Col, up for this as well, has been MUCH too long between gor cruises. Feb weekend works for me, either day, but couldn't do the march weekend. Open for other dates also

I'm down for which ever date the group decides on. Saturday is preferred for traffic reasons. Some of us might remember that year when we were all held up at 50KPH for most of the 1st leg by "that Honda CRV" The original format of the GOR with the point danger stop will be refreshing. 1 BigCol 2 ADAMZX 3 JEDI-77 4 kr4usy 5 lidz 6 BADZX 7 MikeZ32
It would be a long day on the bike unless Jen wants to come and bring the Audi. I prefer the February dates, but I'm not 100% so don't pick that date on my account.
I'll wait until the weekend before finalising a date, (and speak to Mark about any suggestions he might have) but from the quick sample of posts above the Feb 21/22 seems preferred so you might be in luck! I do think that a Sat cruise might be a good break up. If we leave Melb a little later (at say 10:30 instead of 9am) it might be easier for younger members to make it, and also we should also miss most of the traffic going down that way with the added benefit of the roads being hopefully much clearer of traffic on the way back.
Either weekend works for me - they both manage to avoid the Bathurst 12 Hour, Phillip Island Historics and the AGP
I dont mind what date or time it is. But again my son is to young for the zed so ill bring the bmw again. Me and peter will in back .
cruise gor Saturday is better. Not as much traffic. Everyone shops on Saturday go out with the family Sunday. I always prefer Saturday to cruise. late Feb would be ok for me.Cheers Bigmax.

Judging by the fact that everyone going is in Victoria, I'm guessing that the cruise is in Vic. Man you guys have some nice 32's down there.
Correct. GOR is the Great Ocean Road just south west of Melbourne, Victoria. It is an annual cruise we run. Members from all states are welcome, but obviously distance is a factor.
