I can see it's a well cared for car, is it "worth" $16500? I'd like to think so, but how long can you hold out and how much is it likely to drop in value while you do? And what is the car "worth" to you while it sits there?

If you can do something useful with that $10k mate I'd say take it.

Thanks for the comments. As things sit, I'm not in any great hurry to sell, we may have 12 months before our move, so might hang out for a bit longer.
I told the guy my lowest price was $11,000, knowing very well the Rego is due next month.
I guess I could take some off the price if he got his own Roadworthy, but I know the car wont have any issues with that as it has undergone a roadworthy in May last year, and only done less than 1000 Ks since then, and everything has been maintained on the car.

Was looking forward to the Great Ocean Road Cruise in it this year with the forum zeds!

    I'll keep you all posted.

Personally I'd take the 10k if I were you. Recently there appear to be an influx of convertibles for sale for around that sort of money and most of them don't seem to really be moving. But at the end of the day I guess it depends how badly you need/want to sell it.

i feel for you Stu .... it is a beautiful machine and worth much more than $10,000.00 .. !!

unfortunately, our Convertibles have a limited market ....

$10,000 without an RWC would have to be an absolute base firesale price, methinks ...

cannot see me going that low .... just not worth giving it away.

there is a few z32 verts on the market, or at least more than usual (about 5-6 i know of).....however, while they may seem slow to sell, they dont take much longer than a targa or hard top version. theres not a bigmarket for z32's of any sort any more.....they are plain old fashioned hard to sell.

Thanks for the offer BADXTC, but I already have another zed - slicktop, which I could bring if the convertible sells. I've got plenty of cars to choose from for the GOR cruise.

    SOLD YESTERDAY!

Has gone to an elderly gentleman in Ringwood, who is a car enthusiast, so it is destined to do weekend cruises in the northern suburbs.

I'm missing it already, odd having an extra car space in my garage, Oh Hum!, anyway, I will have my Silver Slicktop coming up for sale soon.

I sold it for $12,000 which was with a RWC, had no issues passing the roadworthy.
I had a rwc done on it in May 2013 and since then its done about 50 km short of 1000 kilometres in just over a year, so had no worries with it not passing again.
