Well, after being Z-less for ages, I finally have her back - and couldn't be happier! :zlove:

HUGE thanks to Niall (rollin) for all the work he's done on my car, has made me really love the Z again! :zlove: Niall knew exactly what would work with the engine bay, and while there's more to be done, it looks a million times better, love it so much I want a clear bonnet. :D

First step was a smoothed plenum, powdercoated in a brilliant metallic blue. Unfortunately we've got cloud and rain this week in Brisbane, so no chance to get some shots in the full sunlight yet - just a few snapped on my phone, but you can still see how good the finish is.

'''AND NOW! (EDIT: The PTU will be relocated soon, after next round of engine bay bling and blue throttle cover will be replaced with stainless cover)

The pictures don't do justice to how brilliant the finish is in the sun, still looks wet and sparkles everywhere!

Next was the front bar, and Niall had a modified stock bar that was going to go on temporarily - then he convinced me it would be worth getting rid of the stoneguard and painting it - and I'm so glad I agreed, because it looks really good, especially with the way it matches the flow of the FMIC piping.

Few pics with the HID's installed with LED parkers. HID's in the foglights too, but that was too bright for the camera!

Again, HUGE thanks to Niall for making this happen - can't recommend him enough, was worth the wait to get my Z one step closer to the dream car I hope she'll become! :zlove:

    I applaude your great work!

    How is your wallet looking?

Good on you for making your Z stand out like that, too often so much effort is put in that isn't recognised. Nice aesthetic touches you've done there. I'm a big fan of that under bonnet colour, mine is done in the same shade but I can't remember the exact name of the colour, care to refresh my memory?

That battery! They cubed Kermit? Krayzee sh!t.

Kudos to you as well rollin.

Very nice! I love that front bar, one of the better looking modified TT bars IMO.

Not bad at all, as Niall said in this thread, plenum on exchange from $165, mine was a bit more due to the colour required, not sure of the name of the colour - I'm gonna go with "sweet-ass blue". :D

LOL It's an Amaron battery, 55D23R (600CCA), been really good in the Z, so don't want to get rid of it.... just powdercoat it...... :p

Thanks Mark - as soon as I saw it, it just suited it perfectly - I think the way the corners are done around the foglights make it work, if it'd been any more square, don't think I would have liked it as much.

You & Anti are both right - they've got to go, HKS sticker covering a pin dent and other one there since it arrived from Japan. I just seem to not notice them anymore! Is something like an orange-oil based cleaner going to be fine for removing the old glue without damaging the paintwork? They're been on there for a while...........

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

Good to hear. Use eucalyptus oil, it'll eat away at leftover glue.
