My front left tyre keeps going down and I think that it is a faulty valve.

I need opinions on whether I should part the car out or not.

    Any input appreciated.

Definitely part it out. That sort of issue will plague you long term, cut your losses now and RUN.

the answer to this is way too easy .... remove all tyre valves which will have two significant advantages. tyre leak will be eliminated and you will gain a very low vehicle profile.

you will notice that the tyres appear a bit flat but only at the bottom, so not to worry.

so, nope, parting out is definitely not necessary ... !!!!

get a empty bottle with a squirter on it, fill with washing up liquid and water, and go over the valve with it, if its leaking air it will bubble like crazy (best to make sure the tire has air in it other wise will negate the effect your after) if it fails to blow pretty little bubbles, it may be the seam around the tyre wall, if that fails to blow bubbles on both sides, check both side walls, if that fails check the tread using the bubbly water and see if its leaking, if there is a puncture with in the tread area, its fixable any reputable garage will be able to puncture repair it, if its side wall leak its new tyre time.

if its the bead of the tyre on the alloy, it will need re seating and if its the valve, you will need a new valve.

    there ya go.

I am interested in the remaining air from your tyres.

Please advise whether it is bob-jane nitrogen, or garden variety air. please quote postage to 2340

It is actually is Bob Jame nitrogen. Postage should be minimal but don't expect any more that simple bubble wrap packaging.

lol, that is most disappointing .. Bob Jane nitrogen is old, old technology ... Carmate nitrogen, fully cracked, is the only way to go, these days !!!

On topic. If parting out i would like your stock exhaust and used oil if available. Been looking for someone to wreck used oil, but no takers so far.

Express courier pickup? As im overseas at the moment with work i would like to use the couriers to pick it up. Being its an extra ask, i will pay you $600 extra on top of your sell price. I only ask that you deposit $1000 into my western union account so that i can gain excess to your childrens university funds. After which when all is sorted i will refund you your $1000, plus the extra $600 using a fake cheque ive found images of from of the googlewebs. Further to this in my good nature i would also like to call you during your dinner time so that i can assist you with any and all the virus's ive detected on your XP operating system. I will require your credit card details though to unlock the account. Ive also been granted the ploy of offering you the grand prince's inheritance fund from Nigeria and spread among your family and friends as its deemed that your name is on the inheritance. I can also give you fries and a free upgrade coke containing nothing but cough syrup with that.

Have a happy mc****ing meal. :zlove:

Problem is that when the tyres are pumped up it goes like stink. That might just be the faulty seal on the back hatch, I'm not sure.

Solution is simple - remove the faulty trye and run on just 3. - Less rolling resistance, less weight = more acceleration, yes, it's a front wheel so you don't need it for acceleration. Take extra care cornering in that direction though. Oh! and don't use the brakes. As for the rear hatch, just remove it and only use the car when it isn't raining. Better still buy a pushbike. Nah! second thoughts, that's no good - they have tyres too.

To test for a leaking rear hatch remove the passanger side targa then put a garden hose in and fill. If water leaks out of hatch before it comes out of targa you more than likely have a leaking rear hatch. If it doesn't leak until it comes out the targe car is 100 % o.k and no need to part out. make sure to take kids out before filling.

The leaking tyre was actually a US option. They got an extra switch for inflation of the tyre. See the blank beside the rear vision switch.

If you post up on TT.net with a question about finding the missing switch they will be able to help you out.

I am sure someone over there is parting a car and can send you over the missing switch and loom. :)

They didnt have this option in Japan/Jspec cars as the size and density of the air molecules across the ocean is much higher which means the air cant fit out the valve and hence didnt escape as your air does. :D

If you have any parts that I need - then yes you should definately part it out.

Otherwise this is a forum for Z's and the thought of parting a Z out is very scary and frightening to us all.

We are all now concerned with your mental health as a result of your post.
