VIC Heathcote Raceway part 2 Sunday July 10th

Ok guys I want to do another drag day at heathcote. I have organised myself a set of MT ET streets and it's going to be at least 20c cooler than last time so we should be able to rip out some decent times.

Proposed date is for June:
However the racing calendar for June is not out yet, so just want to see if there is any interest.

As usual it's 11am till 4 pm

Long sleeve shirt and pants, closed shoes and a helmet are a must.
Also batt tie down and overflow bottle in working order is also on the scrutineers to check list. The most important bit of info: entry $50

So if you are free on that date come to Heathcote raceway to see what your Zed can do. food and drinks are available on the day also and last time I was there they were all $2

The last 2 times I've been to Heathcote drags, several Geelong crew have came up to Bendigo the day before
and stayed the night at my place before going to the strip. (Heathcote drags is about 20 minutes from here )
Some good bonding and information exchange to be had that way, socialising and checking / comparing our cars.

I'm OK to do it again, got plenny room here for guests and Zeds

 

I'll be there again. Hopefully racing this time. Should give me enough time to sort out this friggen timing issue! My wife gave me the ok to pinch her LSD so should have minimal taction issues Set of adjustable cam gears should be here before the end of the week too.
Mick, since this thing is an auto and silver how about a friendly match up?

Sweet. So far I'm just digging away at obvious and little things.
Tried 3 different ecus, 3 map sensors, swapped TPS, about to try coolant temp sensor tonight. Soon there will be no bits left on the supra as I'm ripping bits off to try and solve this problem.
On the up side I am fixing minor problems, like high idle, etc. Got so many earth points the car has gained 10kg from cables alone. The timing appears to be coming down. Last night I installed a new o2 sensor which dropped timing a few degrees. No idea why as it controls fuel.
Can't wait to race. Will be fun, two fairly stock cars up against each other

 

Ok, got a bit carried away today and bought another engine That's bound to solve the timing issue

Here is the 10.5 i did few weeks back. Now car is getting a full motor built so i can swap the motor in a few weeks. So should be ready when this day happens.

I'm getting closer with my timing problem.
Brytech hit the nail on the head. It appears to be related to the coolant temp sensor! Should be good to run. Hoping for a low 13.

iCER, what mods does the falcon currently have? 10sec is an impressive time.

I was planning to be there on that day but the clouds were so low you could touch them so I figured
it would piss down rain by the time I got there. Wrong. Good day for it after all.
