    GST is calculated on the combined goods plus freight value if this combined value is over $1000AUD.

    In this case a bar valued at $880 will still be flagged for GST (assuming the values are correctly declared) as the freight component will push it to $1500ish.

    Incorrect Rob. If the Customs Value is under $1,000 there is no duty and no GST.

    better way to explain it is ..

    if one bar is valued at $880au they will let it go through irrelevant of shipping costs

    if 2 bars come to $1760 then they will hit you with GST ON BOTH PRODUCT AND SHIPPING COSTS

    Nah,

    GST is only charged if the item value is dutiable. If the item without freight is under $1000 it is duty free.

    Clever option would be work out how to claim these as a company expense and get the GST credits back :D:cool:

    ok few things i want to know without having to read 14 pages.

    #1 - does this just bolt onto the stock rear bar? if so, 880$ for what is essential a nice rear " lip " is pretty damn expensive, even if it does look sexy

    #2 - the whole GST thing, why cant they just say that the bars are valued at 100$ each and put 5 in a box then it keeps the cost under 1k so no gst?

    why would customs have any idea about how much these bars cost? if your sending bulk orders its common that the price is going to be cheaper, as in when you buy from a wholesaler ?

    ah well, anyway, 880$ is to much, and 1500$ is just stupid lol.

    im so on getting one when the 2+2 version arrives. been a fan and pricing isnt to bad. considering an escort front fascia is 1500 delievered, i think its fair.

    Price is what you pay for something unique and special... obviously not for everyone.

    Compare to the price of buying a new genuine abflug/escort/JUN/kaminari/border/anythingthatisn'talocallymadeknockoff bar and the price doesn't look so bad.

    I am somewhat glad the average Z32 owner finds the price "stupid", I'd hate to see too many floating around :rolleyes:

    a rear bar and front bar are the same size practically and basically are the same price. dont see why ppl are sooking.
