The anual NDSOC verses FPV/XR Owners club DECA day is on again. For those who have attended previous years you know what to expect, for everyone else........you need to come because it is a great day out. Here is a cut'n'paste from the official email.

    Hi guys,

Entry form and Supp regs enclosed for DECA.

Payment details are on the form. When your payment is received, that is your place on the grid. If I don't have your payment, you aren't guaranteed a place.

Couple of things to remember: Helmets must be worn at all times, passengers are allowed on the skidpan also with a helmet, passengers must be 12 years and older, neck to wrist to ankles clothing must be worn.

Cost: $60. Limited to 30 entries per club (FPV & XR and NDSOC)

The earlier you get your entry in, the better the chance of ensuring your entry! On July 1, if there are still entries available, it will be open slather to all other clubs......

Any questions, feel free to send my way!!!

    Cheers,

    Karyn

Two important points to keep in mind. Entry is reserved for club members up until the start of July, at which point entries are open to everyone. I wouldn't wait though because entries will fill quickly. More important than that is that this event will be the first (and possibly only) time that the JEDI mobile will be driven in a competitive manner. It has been a long time comming but Mark has finally given in to encouragement and will be "having a crack" so we should all go just to watch that......and cheer him on.

I'll be in (unless I'm still jobless ) - don't know what I'll be driving though.

Mr Jedi - your NA motor needs to be thrashed twice - we want a quarter mile time. Well, I want it, at least, from what is supposed to be one of the more powerful NA zeds on thes forum.

i think i will renew my ndsoc membership and pay for DECA if there are still spots left.
will be good to see Mark out there flying the NA flag. and yes, 1/4 mile times are a must before the TT goes in.

    Hmmmm.....

considering that I have NEVER done any sort of track work, I'm happy to fly the NA flag as long as people dont mind it flying very low....:) Should be a fun day, but dont look to me for greatness...:) You can take the NA flag sandeep..:)

Skip that... daily driver + race mishap = loss of irreplaceable item.
(as pointed out by my more sane 1/2)
But I reckon you'll be pretty dam good mate if your driving precision is anything like the interior of your car! [TIS]

Thanks. I sent an email to Karyn about 3 weeks ago when this thread first came up but I never received a reply. I am using my Monash email though so it may be going into the junk mail or something. I sent another email last night to the membership secretary so will see how it goes.

Have you seen any videos from DECA Sean? I have plenty to show you that will help you change your mind. DECA is a good event because it can be a fun event (eg my mates who just come up to drift around the cones) or you can take it seriously and go for good times and try to improve. As long as you drive within your limits you should be fine.

It's at the DECA driver training facility in Shepparton.
    http://deca.com.au/FacilitiesShepparton.aspx

We usually drive up as a group in the morning, leaving at around 6am.
If you are going to be a spectator, bring an approved helmet and you can score some passenger rides.
