As I was saying. The zed was looking ratty. It had been the test mule for the spoilers and front bars. The rear bar was full of cracks and the side skirts were a different colour to the rest of the car. It was long over due for a new coat of paint. After a year of painfull discussion and indecision , mostly for those that I was talking to, I decided on a colour and went for it.

I wanted something different but not over the top so did a few quick photochops to see what would work and got to it.

So here we have one shamefull ratty zed.

Got to work at removing all the hail damage from the bonnet
    (looks like its got measles):p

And a good rub back to be ready for paint.

The shell and jambs got done first.

    Followed by the removable pannels

Tail lights were cleared and colour coded just like the center panel and 3rd brake light.

Finally after 2 weeks of rain I finally got some sunshine so I could take some pics of the finished product.

    And here she is.

And the photochop that I made about a year ago. (wizards car)

The 3rd brakelight is now at the top of the glass inside the hatch and the reverse lights have been moved over to the inside of the indicators.

I have not touched the paint since it was sprayed. What you see is right off the gun:D

And for the record the colour is not chamagne silver or soft gold.

    it is.....

    Lexus 4t1 - Metallic Beige :D

    Been waiting for this one,
the 2+2-2 is now looking godly (as it should be). Fit for the god himself.

Has some 180sx resemblance here. Also like how you jumped into the bushes for a photo :p

Love it! did you clear coat over that or planning on removing it?

I was never a fan of the tail lights on zeds. This was my attempt at fixing it. I love it. Its my favorite part of the car.:D
By removing the reverse lights it gives the appearance of the back of the car been wider. The colour coding just makes it look a little more modern IMO. But as was said, Its not for everyone.

    Vader Just another guy

What did you get to put the brakelight inside the hatch? This is what I also need to do. I was considering a 6" red Neon, but they're as rare as hens teeth apparently.

Sorry Ztoy - I'm with Rollin on this one, not a fan of the colour, or the lights.
However loving the kit - the Ztoy/2k spec bar looks great! And I've always loved that rear bar......

    GB on Stickers anyone??

I got one from a barina but its a bit chunky.

    However

You can get LED strip brake lights from Autobahn for $35. I will be changing over to one of these soon. Thanks to Pexzed for pointing me in that direction.

Hopefully when I get a proper photo shoot done I can change some opinions. These ones just wash out too much and don't do it justice. The pearl in it is just fantastic. Anyone who has seen it in person can vouch for that.

did you pull your tail lights apart and remove the black or did you just paint over the outside lens.

i pulled mine apart and removed the paint, bitch of a job only problem is you get a slightly different colour because of the lens.

also looks better if you can remove the black from the centre panel and repaint to colour match car without cracking it.you end up with a double black outlined 300zx in the centre.
