Wow that is awesome as!!! Well done Good to see things like this and back to back dyno runs to prove it all
lol thats awesome! i remember once on NS i read some guys profile, he had 180sx dynod back to back with different fuels, astounding difference in power... he had one big turbo. top power was like 400rwkw not sure what fuel then it was like 360rwkw usin less spensive fuel then it was 320rwkw using 98ron i was like...goddam i didnt know fuel done so much! now of course im like, well duh.
Well done Ron! It was a good nite at WSID when we went head to head and we both hit PB's. ps; no bling shots for the mag?
Good result.... ...but that's expensive, especially as you need to tune and retune back to 98RON. What did you do when it ran out? Just use 98RON and drive like a granny till you could retune? Kinda curious how a strong mix of methyl benzene would go in our Z's, and whether this is financially or technically viable. Good result though, Ron. Egg
Granny driving Exactly Paul, Drove to the drags with a next to empty tank, put 20 litres of Martini 110 in, used that for five runs, limped home off boost and back to the dyno next day to get detuned. Good fun and worth the effort, any thing with over 400hp at the wheels is a serious car to drive. Would still like to be running on it, but 72 litres x $7.5 = $540 per tankfull, is a bit more than i can afford.
Bit late But a big congrats Ron... Even without the martini 110 you have very impressive times and rwkw. you should be the benchmark for all HAHA.! Tezza
Compared to what though Compared to C16 which is nasty 6% lead and NO oxygen and cost a bit more. This stuff makes slightly more power with less timing and runs cooler and safer and road legal so no comparison. C16 is banned in circuit and still legal just in drags but requires a fuel log book etc and illegal to drive to drags and not good for cat converters or 02 sensors. We found on the slot car compared to C16 back to back made 10rwkw more with 5 degrees less timing and ran cooler. I will never use C16 again. I also checked out the specs including specific gravity which is the main one and came out on top. It?s way better than any other unleaded fuel and slightly better than the nasty illegal stuff. But yes compared to pump gas expensive but on the other hand cheapest power you will get bang for buck other than NOS.
