    Hi

    READ FIRST

I have for sale a 1989 TT 300zx Parts car that I am wanting to sell whole. I didn't know if I should have put it in the cars section or the parts section so I figured Id sell it in the Z Parts section as It would preferably suit someone who is chasing a excellent motor and transmission setup. If need be moderators you can move it.

    So lets start.

If anyone remembers anything about fast 1/4 mile zeds you might remember this. A while back a guy named John Marinaccio put a shyt load of dollars into his black 300zx to see how quick he could get it to go. Basically he did it up and made a reasonably quick car from this. See following links for story.

    First row far right.

I believe he then sold the car to another guy called sean, who I purchased it from, who had basically used it for a cruiser. Initially the engine was good but later started having troubles so in the pursuit for more power the engine was overhauled at JPC. Where it had stayed there for a couple of years, no bull. The previous owner knew Mark Johnson and gave him the go ahead to fix it up a little more.

As Sean had told me, It was one of those 'when you get a chance could you' things. That chance was a couple of years. Eventually the car was completed and though the build cost exceeded what Sean had initially paid them it was more then fair that any additional cost were not included.
So by the time Sean had received the car he already had too many toys that he acquired and no longer needed it.

I decided I wanted a 300zx as I thought they were not a bad looking car. My previous car was a r33 so I wanted something of a higher calibre.

I saw this 300zx for sale and thought that I did not want to make the same mistake as many other 300zx owners had made by purchasing a good looking example with a crapped out motor. I thought that if I purchase a car with a rebuilt engine that would at least eliminate some issues. I made an offer for the car but was turned down. I eventually made another offer that sean accepted.

So I purchased the car for what some would consider a rip off just by looking at it. But it was what was underneath it that mattered.

Upon the sale, no more than five months ago, the 300zx had everything in it that was mentioned in the articles. Well except for the stereo but it had a rebuilt engine that was now built to make in excess of 300RWKW with its 3 speed trimatic to push with a 4000 stall. It had less than 1000km from rebuild. So it was not boosted high as it was due to go back to JPC for a big boost once past 1000kms evaluation and power output when I purchased it was approximately 220rwkw at 0.5 bar.

I then drove the car around like the day I purchased it, not adding boost etc for the next four months. It was my intention to get a new set of injectors. I do not know why but I believe they used the same bosch 351 injectors, but serviced them, from the previous build in this build. They then began to chatter which I did not like although performance was not affected. After I had replace the injectors I then would have taken it to JPC for its tune.

Anyway one day I let my mate take the car to work as his was cactus. He had driven the car before but with me in it. Long story short I get a call in the arvo from him saying that he smashed into a pole. Being blinded by rage I manage to try and be concerning towards his physical condition whilst on the mobile.

The car arrives a my house with the front bumper smashed and the rear left quarter and wheel caved. He told me straight up that it was he's fault and would pay me back. Only because I had known him for such a long time I thought I would let him keep breathing. It was a very sad day. The issue was that I did not have insurance on the car because I figured it had that many diamonds on it that it was too hard remove them before an assessor would notice and because of this the car was not written off. I just recently canceled registration.

    Viewer Discretion advised.

So after saying that I have a 300zx for sale with no front bar and a smashed left rear gaurd and left door. Also the front mount intercooler was cracked so that has been removed.

The left lower support arm, whateva its called, attached to the diff is bent also. I don't know if the car is repairable or not to be honest.

Thats all the bad stuff out of the way.

Everything else in the car is great. Including the interior.

I know many people are going to say that its a bit expensive for a wrecked zed. To put things into perspective I paid more then double this for the car no more than 5 months ago, without RWC. But when you factor in that a rebuilt engine alone costs this much its actually very good.

Not only do you get a high performance engine but a custom transmission plus other accessories like exhaust, external wastegates, fuel rail and aftermarket ecu to go with it. Then your still left with a excellent whole interior and the rest of the car.

I know I would probably get more money if I parted everything out but I simply do not have the time nor tools to do so and If I did I would rather keep the car and stick the engine and transmission in a slicktop.

The vehicle is still driveable if needing to drive up a trailer or something.

If you have any question pm me.

    cheers
