hello fellow zedder's now i acually dont no much about the89 z32TT auto but i bought her out of complete luck @ $3700 the paint was faded, hatch was rusted out under s/spoiler'now without' and interior was a bit tacky, and the engine was out of a manual TT instead of stock AUTO, hence troubles i been getting blueish/grey smoke ot of the passanger exhaust, running way too rich and now i also have to do a Plenum Pull and Water Hose Bypass Procedure the car also will not start but will crank over, how am i supposted to purge the fuel sysem if i cant start the car? would this be an ignition problem or starter motor? if u can help with any of this just let me know thanks heaps i just wanna fix her and cruise again

    Pull the

fuel/ign fusible link out from the fusible link box in front of brake booster and crank away. Also leave fuel cap off. When you pull a fuel hose off, some will still spurt out. Just use plenty of towels.

The engine will be cold so no fear of a fire.

Can't advise on the non-start condition without more info. Start with an ECU diagnostic (tech article here) to determine where to look first. Most likely cuprits are Crank Angle Sensor (CAS) wiring plug is loose/corroded/dirty etc or PTU.

STRONGLY suggest you identify/fix the non-starting cause BEFORE you start the plenum pull. Changing too many things at once can be hard to troubleshoot later on.

    Welcome aboard BTW!!!
There is plenty of advice in the tech section and in this forum.

Check / clean or replace all the electrical connectors under the bonnet before anything else especially the injector / coil / p.t.u and c.a.s connectors . It might be as simple as that before you start worring about anything major.Don't worry about the coolant hose / plenum pull until you get the motor running.
