Franz and I headed down to the Anzac Day Blue Light Drags held at Wannaroo Raceway yesterday.... and we kick some ass! the field was mainly made up of Holdens and Fords and very few imports....
Franz made it into the Top 6 Shootout for B Class - and ended up coming Runnerup overall for that class! (although he actually won the final, but he supposedly jumped the start... although i reckon it was a bit sus! ;))

I made it into the Top 6 Shootout in A Class.... dont ask me why i was in the fastest class haha :p.... and ended up getting knocked out :(

overall for the competition i finished in 15th position and Franz finished in 21st position - which is pretty good considering 8 of the top 10 spots are filled with bikes!!

ok, im done.... i was happy with our efforts anyways.... its always fun showing a crowd of Holden and Ford fans *cough* hillbillies *cough* what a decent import car can do ;)

    Questions for Risky >>>

I am very familiar with Barbagallo's layout, but never been there for the drags.1) Presume they use pit straight?
    2) Do they run in normal direction or reverse it?
    3) Do they use a Christmas Tree for stage and start?
    4) What is the length of the strip - 1/8th mile, 1000ft, unknown?Well done on the day :YD :YD :YD. What a pity Collingwood couldn't help you out on Anzac Day hehehehe my Dockers came good!

    1) correct - when your class is called, you que up in pit lane then 4 cars at a time get sent up to the north end of the straight to line up to drag (1 on 1 with 2 cars waiting behind).2) in reverse3) there is a xmas tree BUT its only (from memory) 4 amber and 4 green.... you line up, the offical calls out "READY!" all 4 amber lights come on, then about 2secs later the 4 Green light up.... all of this is controlled by the officals, no actually timed delay or anything (in the finals they didnt use the amber lights on my run!!! just the greens!!!! bastards!)4)1/8th is what i was toldAnd as for the mighty pies.... well, theres always next year :p
