Hey all, crashed my car Doing i think around 120, went thru a t intersection, over an embankment, down a hill into a paddock, thru the air for about 6 metres, nose dived, then onto the roof then rolled again once or twice. Half of a red gum fence post went thru the front and rear windscreens directly between the seats. Had a friend in the car, both fine, both have a bump on the head and a scratch on the hand. The targa centre beam crushed down onto the subwoofa box behind the seats and held the roof up. Cant believe we just walked away from it The car isnt in the best condition though will post pics later

I think that both of you should bolt down to the newsagent and grab a couple of lottery tickets because it certainly sounds like luck is on your side at the moment. Notice I left out the lecture, I figure you will get enough of those over the coming weeks
The important thing is that your all right. I crashed mine recently (not so bad though, quite fixable) and the feeling you get is horrible, this sense of dread and disgust at hurting your baby... Do you remember what song was on the radio? Mine was Under The Milky Way Tonight by The Church. I'll never forget that song, werid huh?
Mate, glad to hear your alright, sounds like you were lucky, hopefully you have learnt from this, i know it took me 3 accidents to learn that maybe there was somehting wrong with my driving style, at the time, you were lucky, dont let there be a time when you are not so lucky
Exactly why were you doing 120km/h approaching a T intersection? You've got bugger all sympathy from me...I feel bad for your friend i'm sure he's pretty shaken up. Catch the train until you can learn to be responsible.
Lesson learnt The cars not fixable because the roof and almost every single panel is wrecked, the underside looks fine, has a single 3.5? ziegen exhaust and two almost new 2.5? cats that all look fine apart from one ding. The bonnet still opens the engine bay looks ok apart from coolant everywhere, but the intercoolers snapped off so my mechanic says the engine would be wrecked, he offered me $1100 for the whole thing. Yeah I have learnt a lesson, I feel like an idiot. It is bad but could have been so much worse. And yeah I think the song playing was Them bones ? Alice in chains
I had just got it back from the mechanics and was testing it in some factory backstreets. I know how stupid it was and im not looking for sympathy. Whatever i get from this i deserve it
honourable way of looking at it.. i wont grill you, we all make mistakes.. you have the right outlook on the situation and thats what matters, hopefully you get another zed soon..
Dont be to hard on yourself mate! everyone makes mistakes! No one was hurt, and you can always get another car!

YES- just because IC's snapped, does not mean engine is dead... Get a quote from Cresta BEFORE you hand it to this mechanic for a song... Which state BTW? I might be interested in the driveline
Im in Melbourne Yeah i hope the engine is fine, its done 185k though I crashed it one day after i got the 200k service done early and alot of things were replaced, it also has brembo rotors allround (one year old) and almost new pads which all look fine
