ACT Zedfest #5 - Cruisin' ACT to Dubbo

Hey all,

Since no one else has yet, I thought I'd start the ACT/Goulburn cruise to Zedfest #5 thread...



Google maps suggests that, from my place in southern ACT, it's roughly 5 and a half hours to Dubbo, and Zedmd has requested a stop-over in Cowra to visit family. So, to make life simple, I suggest that we meet at the Yass Service Centre, in the KFC carpark - Time TBA... That means we can meet up pretty easily with ProckyZ89 who will be traveling south from Goulburn to cruise with us.

From the Yass Service Centre, it's roughly 90 mins to Cowra, where we can follow Zedmd while he makes his visit, and then roll on towards Dubbo (roughly another 2hrs 45mins away) with stops for fuel or bathroom breaks, as needed...

Since we're in no real rush to reach Dubbo, hows about:

@09:30am - (B) Meet at KFC carpark, Yass Service Centre
@10:00am - Depart Yass
@11:30am - (C) Arrive Cowra, visit Zedmd's family
@12:15pm - Depart Cowra
@15:30pm - (D) (allowing for a bathroom stop, if necessary) Arrive Macquarie Inn, Dubbo

JameZTT and I can either meet you at Yass or if you want we can meet you in Kambah at around 8:30 as we will be leaving from Richardson. 5.5 hours!!!! hope they sell 98 Octane along the way.

 

You're welcome to meet Leah and I at our place in Bonython, say around 8:15am, and convoy out at @8:30am... Lemme know if that works for you, and I'll PM you my address...

If we can work it do we want to run into the Victoria people coming up on Friday if they do ??? Otherwise if not I'll arrange cruising up with you all and our Zed s better all be working ok

 

Suggestion: team up with the Sydney crowd at Molong as they would be comming through Orange- Bathurst.

 

Do you know what time the Sydney crowd plan on hitting Molong?

Update...

Meeting up with the Sydney crew is in Anti's hands at the moment, fella's... He is going to put the idea of meeting at Molong to them, and get back to me... If they're up for it (it's an extra half hour added to the trip for them), then we'll organise a time to meet around both cruise's itineraries... Otherwise, we'll all make our own merry ways to Dubbo...

Well... It doesn't look promising that we'll be meeting up with the Sydney crew... So being on our own, does anyone have any modifications, or suggestions regarding our cruise on Friday?

Have just swapped a few PM's with Mikey5555! He's keen to have us meet the Sydney crew at Molong at approximately 1:30pm... He is going to look into where we can all meet up and get back to me!

Just spoke to my aunty and uncle yesterday, turns out that they are allready in QLD for easter, so i wont need to stop in cowra for as long as planned.

I'm not understanding your 1/2 hr calculation in respect to the cars coming from Sydney(we will be coming through Richmond/Lithgow/Bathurst/Orange/Molong/Wellington/Dubbo).
Where is there a diversion from our route from Richmond to Dubbo?

Yeah I dont know where Anti pulled that from either, but we are definitely going through Molong, so it would be silly not to all meet up, Ill draft up a schedule for the NSW folks sometime tomorrow
