ZedFest 2012 Official Shirt

Like years past, here is your opportunity to purchase a comemorative shirt of ZedFest Number 5!

The shirt will only be sold to people that are attending ZedFest and as such, will be delivered on Friday 6th April at the MacQuarrie Inn, Dubbo.

Shirt Cost will be $33 each and available in Mens and Ladies cuts.

No,same as previous years. There was a design thread up in z non tech for a couple of months and not one reply or suggestion. Running out of time quick!

A Small mens (not sure on sizes yet need to get out hte measuring tape)
And a small in ladies to but need to get to you about measurements and bust sizing.

Personally, due to work & financial constraints I cannot attend.

Not sure how I missed the design thread, and I don't recall it being mentioned in the event/accommodation thread - either as being first posted, or as a reminder for ideas... Do I need new specs, too? :rofl:

I, personally, love the idea of having our Forum Nic's embroidered on the shirts, though I do get that doing so would increase pricing and complicate the organisation somewhat (and that much more time would be needed to do it for #5). Karl, could we, perhaps, table it as an idea for #6?

Settle down, dude! Where the he'll did all that come from?

Firstly, if you have an issue with Karl setting down a rule on something that he, like every Zedfest, is "volunteering" his scarce free time on, then there are better ways to make your problem known than using CAPS to shout about it where the whole Forum can see it. Understand that you have just had taken a crack at one of the most (if not 'the' most) giving and respected members of this Forum.

Secondly, take a moment to understand that the polo-shirts are organised for "attendee's" of the event - and that (though you call it "elitist") is the very point. Please do not attack Karl because we collectively, as an attending group, choose to wear our polo-shirts as a badge to say "We were there!".

Personally, I can't even begin to understand why you would have a CAPS-filled rant about a 'polo-shirt' for an event you are unable to attend. We have probably all at least once missed an event due to leave, family, financial or mechanical constraints. So I assure you, we certainly simpathise with you about your being unable to organise leave to join those of us that could attend.

Respectfully, I ask that next time you address your concerns, as in this case with Karl, via Personal Message (PM) rather than make inflammatory comments about a man that tirelessly serves the Forum.

For your info, many people have managed to obtain Z-Fest shirts in the past(not all have attended the event).:zlove::br:

 

Firstly, my so called rant is not a personal attack on anyone and was never intended to be. I had been hoping to attend the event. Unfortunately I cannot but would love to purchase a shirt.
Perhaps we could float the idea of a supporters shirt for the next one, sold in advance to help fund raise to offset some of the cost for those able to attend. I would most certainly buy one.

Just trying to have Karl's back is all, and I genuinely wasn't aware of non-attendee's getting shirts in the past - so a big apology to petes1stzed on that account.

But the point of the shirts is that, in the first instance, they are for those that attend (not that I have a problem in the least with anyone else wanting or buying one - regardless of attending or not!) and that's all I was trying to say. But, as Karl is organising them, it is Karl's call, and if you complain about the rules, restrictions or guidelines he has put in place regarding them - then you are complaining about something he has decided, and that is personal.

Rather than post as you did, petes1stzed, you should've asked Karl first - offline as it were. Then I'd not have felt the need to respond on behalf of a friend, and to be fair, "I" should've done it by PM, too.

Ahh! I thought(like me)that you announced your inability to attend said Z-Fest????
After having to cancel my Motel booking, I was going to make a day trip during festivities(but "NO Shirts" makes it seem pointless in the extreme).

 

Disregard that first sentence Baz(it was the Tech Day that you couldn't make, sorry).
