The alternate motel is still available, but will fill shortly as the Toyota Nationals will also be in town.

 

Any updates on Macquarie Inn? TBA spot?

Also karl, you can officially put me (as on tomorrow) on the reserves list if anyone pulls out of macquarie. How far is the other motel to the macquarie one ?

 

The other motel, Best Western - Blue Diamond Motor Inn, is approx 2klm from Mac Inn.
$8 cab ride.
There are 12 room left as of this morning at the Alt motel

 

Both venues are on the same road (no turns, one roundabout). Usually has a grey mobile speed camera located next to the football ovals between a crest and a blind bend so beware of that one...

A local Zed owner works at the Blue Diamond, not sure if she's joined the forum yet though.

I'll be in Dubbo from the days leading up to Zedfest to the following Monday. I'm more than happy to escort anyone who gets lost easily into town or give directions based on land marks. I've spent most of my life in the area so I know my way around

At the Macquarie Inn all rooms taken but there are rooms available at the alternate motel.
Someone may pull out at the last minute, but don't hold your breath.
There will be other zeds staying at the best western Blue Diamond Motor Inn.
You won't be left out.
With Toyota Nationals in town the same weekend the rooms might get a bit scarce.

 

So should we start ringing the other motel to book rooms?

Also, just saying my brakes arent 100%, what kind of cruising will we be doing? haha

Any Victorians wanna meet up and drive up as a group? I'm in Ballarat, I don't mind meeting up in Melbourne on the highway or something. Beats driving solo!

I'd like to add a plus 1 as a friend will be riding shotgun with me. On my phone so cant copy pasta!

So has anyone sorted out where the nsw or act people heading to dubbo are meeting up or is this not planned yet

 

I dont think there is anything planned as yet dude. if there were, i would assume we would meet at yass servo on the hill.
I would also like to make a short stop in cowra to see family. as the trip for us is over 5.5hrs i cant see this as being a problem.
Def keen to cruise together, maybe you could start an "ACT cruise to dubbo" thread or something, just to figure out who is coming from ACT.

Well there is a Vic cruise thread maybe we can meet up with them on the way through it would require some planning but I think I am happy to organize something

There are a few of us heading down on Thursday night making a stop over in Goondoowindi. Can then meet up with everyone else on the way through on Friday

 

Unfortunately the lure of $$$ sees me now skipping out on this event. A project I have been working on for 2.5 years goes live Easter Weekend and Ill be on call to make sure everything goes smoothly. I guess Ive reached the point in my life where killing my mortgage has become my number 1 priority.
