What was required to fit these? i.e. removal of original in-tank pump, etc

    Cheers,

How much HP are you aiming for there? Stock pump is good for a lot of power - do a search on twinturbo.net and save yourself some $$$ unless you are going for mega HP

    ports the pro

I have one of these installed, but it came with the car when I bought it, but I
understand that it replaces the stock item. Unless you want to run a surge tank,
then you can have the stock item feed from the tank, then to the surgie and run an
    external Bosch to the engine.

044 pumps which I have two and are designed to be mounted external although they do work internal they do not suck so well. Best to get a proper in tank pump like Nippon Denso which are Tomei, Nismo or the higher flow Walbro pump.

Aiming for at least 300rwkw... i understand that the stock pump is good for 500hp but in a 17 year old car id like everything running as reliably as possible.

Thanks for the replies, will check out the internal pumps as mentioned by JP.

Ports is your pump mounted externally? Not sure about surge tank, will prob just go the route of pump plus fuel press regulator

    Surge tank

Not legal or safe if mounted in boot as fuel in cabin potentially will cook occupants if all goes bad. In tank pump is best but don't get Bosch as they don't flow enough unless not big power.
