should have said that certain bp servos have car trailers 50 bucks for 4 hours and a 50 dollar deposit. although getting it down your driveway and up onto the actuall trailer would be tricky
As an early victim of this incredibly frustrating experience, I would strongly suggest you pore back over past threads to find all the likely, possible, and not-so-likely causes... I think from memory when my and Tektrader's problems were discussed there were something like 1500+ comments and suggestions received... If you can't get any results, send me a PM and I'll go thru' all the b/s I encountered. Took about 4 mths to sort...!!!
yeah im doing that at the moment... trying t o find any possible cause... 4 months of the road is unacceptable for me this car is my daily driver.....i have to have it running asap.... what eventually was the casue with your car?
Hi Jinxed (is this name in relation to your Z probs? ), Hope you get her working soon, my suggestion is to check the CAS. On Renee's Z (RENZED), the plug on the CAS is dodgey and if you push on it a bit the car will die and sometimes it wouldnt start unless you wiggled the plug a bit. It also sounds like it could be a vacuum leak, is it blowing black smoke when you get it started for those few seconds? If so then its over fueling which can be caused by unmetered air due to a vacuum leak. My intercooler pipe popped off the other weekend and did the same as yours, would start for a few seconds and die. Good luck finding the problem. Cheers! Gagz
nah the names years old and just stuck.....lol the car doesnt start at all so there is no smoke or exhaust fumes to speak of..... the car does run rich due to dodgy o2 sensors though that shouldnt prevent ruinning.....they still work they are just slow to respond ...
perth zed performance to the rescue again!!!! well the cars still broken but tom has diagnosed the problem and i am full of hope again that my z may see the light of day once a gain.... thanks to tom from pzp for coming out and looking at the car,and putting up with my questions and highly suspicous maintanace issues......... cheap rates and impecable (i that a word lol) service yet again...
heh heh heh.....good teaser wasnt it.... looks likely to be the ptu or associated wiring...... even though we ran codes and on the day it was a clean 55 its now giving a 21 which is ptu...2 alternative series 1 ptus have been tryed to no avail so i reckon its the wiring but ill get a new series 2 ptu and be done with it...
good to hear mate. its so frustrating when you have a problem you can't fix with the car - a few times i've stayed up late into the night determined to fix it before i go to bed.
IT LIVES>>>>AT LAST!!!! just got my zed back on the road after over 3 weeks of zedless ness,well overdue.... cause of not starting was faulty ptu backed up by fouled plugs AND a dodgy battery!!!! :zlove: so happy right now i could just scream!!!lol BIG THANKS TO MY MECHANIC TOM AT PZP, HE DID ALL THE WORK BAR THE REALLY MINOR STUFF,AND ORDERED IN THE PARTS I NEEDED,ALL AT STUPIDLY CHEAP PRICES,THANKS TOM I OWE YOU MASSIVELY !!!
