This thread is relevant to my interests as I may be inheriting a Z31 from the father in law in the near future.
Are Z31's still worth getting? I love the look of them but I wonder if getting parts for them are harder than Z32s.
Parts are real hard to get, but not impossible. They're getting very rare and quite exclusive. I was recently at the All Japanese Classic Day here in Queensland which had a massive turn out and I was the only turbo z31, with only one other earlier non turbo in attendance. It's your call if you're up for the challenge I guess lol
I love Z31's! I have owned one since I was 19 (some time ago)! I do find it quite difficult to get parts yes. Zcarparts.com.au, courtesy Nissan parts in Texas or Black Dragon is where I have always tried to sort parts from. Shipping from America is always the bitch! I'm also not sure about black dragon as well, I think they may be shut down.
My z32 NA is challenge enough lol. I definitely love the exterior styling much more and I've been told that the z31 is easier to work on. But the z32 has the cooler interior and easier parts etc so far. Especially things like the t-top seals and what not.
Some say the z31 is the forgotten middle child of the Nissan/Datsun family... never seen these wheels before my girls... my 84 2+2 zenki 5speed ...trying to make sure these cars dont disappear vg30et also my z32
I know! I have my eye on a unique plate but you're right, I should probably get the black/white plate in the interim.
