Whats the better ECU choice for a 500+rwhp Z32?

At the moment with my current VG30DETT build the ECU that I was going to use was a MicroTech LT series (which I know alot of rotaries use). I'm not sure what the better of the ECUs are. I'm not that great with electrical stuff and was hoping to get pointed into the right direction. I'm not sure how MicroTech stands against other ECUs such as i.e Haltech etc.

So, what are you higher horsepower guys using? if using aftermarket ECUs.

The question isn't which is a better ecu, but more so, who in your area can tune a particular aftermarket ecu and has a strong reputation? The best ecu can be made look very bad by someone who doesn't know what they are doing with it.

I like the Haltech's, great value for money and alot of support.

I would say the one that your tuner is most comfortable with.

None of the 3 different tuners in my immediate area seem to be able to get acceptible results with a microtech.

Personaly I will be going with either Haltech or Autronic for my build at similar power levels.

Id recommend Nistune. You can change everything and as far as i know it supports up to 1000cc injectors. There's no rewiring, just gotta chip the ecu and off you go. Only down side is there is no traction control or boost control yet. It is being worked on though.

For the price, you cant go wrong.

That says more about the three tuners(?)in your area, than it does about the MicroTech.

My LTX-12S has been running faultlessly for the past 6 years(without O2's or an AFM).:zlove:

Wait, no boost control for Nistune?....If Im not mistaken, isnt that a core component to obtaining high HP turbo engines? lol, brother & I were looking into Nistune due to its price and great list of features without much modification, but after reading that, might have a look into Haltech, know a few people running Haltechs on inline 6s and get great results....

Youre in WA, Im pretty sure Tom @ PZP can tune Nistune, best bet may be having a talk to him for advice.

Lol, use a boost controller to control boost :p You're only chassing 500hp, Nistune will do that easily and cheaply.

...I knew that lol, sorry man having a hectic day at work, wasnt thinking.
Though I guess with a reasonbly decent priced controller with Nistune sounds like the right way to go about it, but again, depends on how deep your pockets are, JamesZX

There is only one perfect tune for your car ..and that is one developed by a skilled tuner with YOUR car on a dyno. Everything else is just guesswork and copies of copies of copies of the countless bin files found with a simple goggle search

Motovation is a killer...It took me 4 weekends to pull my motor old, build the other one and put it back in. Halfway through i was losing interest but i kinda needed to get it back together..haha. Always helps to think about the end result.
Its good to know that you done something yourself which firstly works and secondly, you know what went into it.
