    Hidds THAT annoying guy....

nah, all my efforts in saving are in vein, lot of changes lately, lots of things to pay at the moment, and with a drop in my fortnightly income, i cant save as fast as i wished,

ive lined a few up, for me, it will be a life long ownership of the kingswood, pass it down and all that jazz.

Installed larger radiator into the slicktop & a few other bits and bobs. Had a lady complain over the fence at the offensive noise my cars made while idling. Stupid cow!

Raised the 2+2 an inch or so, can clear the driveway with ease now which is nice. This is how she sits now:

LOL, Going from a Zed to a Kingswood would be like trading a Fighter Jet for a Hot Air Balloon.

the difference in handling would be crazy! Be Careful especially if you got heaps of power on tap.

I had a Kingswood panel van HQ with a 253 and a 4 speed on the floor . It had a holly and lumpy cam and it sounded Oresome :br:

I was 18 and king of the world ... love those days . Kudos for going there Hidds

Thought you may have liked it. :) As for how, I managed to sand the urethane back so the curved edge wasn't so noticeable. I then filled the two grooves with regular bog. Sanded it back flush with both upper and lower surfaces. I then proceeded with a finishing glazing bog. Filled the gap again then started to sand an edge. Once I got a line I measured the gap evenly across the bar and used masking tape to sand towards. The tape stops the sand paper cutting into the area you don't want to sand. Once a line I alternated, taped the area I just sanded. More bog. Then sand it back to the tape again. Enough repeats you end up filling the area you want but leaving a straight edge.

Got a photo ill add later showing what I mean.

Hey Ross. Yeah blue again. Slightly different. But similar. Should look pretty cool when done :)

Removed some clear tint/film from the rear window. OMG what a b!tch of a job! Close to an hour to peel it all off, then a couple of hours polishing off the sticky residue with soapy water and steel wool.
Worth it though, looks 100x better :)

Fender work, with some shocking hand writing against a broken piece of wood lol.

Flared by eye with a hammer and disposible blow torch, both my rear fenders are widened almost exactly the same amount and are of equal thickness. The double digit numbers is the length in CM from the top of the shock to the edge of the fender, across seven points, then the thickness of the fender at the same points below (minus 5mm from each).

Only one real discrepancy at where the rear bar meets the body with a 44.7mm one side and 44.2mm the other. Needed to finish up the other side anyway :)

Remarkably, at the widest point the fenders are just as wide down to just one millimeter. All done by eye with a hammer!

Well yesterday i pulled front guard off and beat the huge dent back out of it ..
chased paint color to match it ... car is supposed to be silver from color code ..it aint ..
its layered spray bog, then black gloss undercoal then pearl shine and purple topcoat and clear cut its 2 mm of high end job ..which sucks cas i cant match it so looking at respray later..

last of all i bought two stainless steel dishclothes and jammed them up the muffler ... the noise is so much better now
