What do you suppose this could be...?

Let's see how good my descriptive abilities are...I was looking under my car today (which is difficult given how stupidly low the last owner had it made) when I noticed that there was a rubber pipe hanging down, not attached to anything. The pipe was on the passenger side, about 40cm in from the guard and just behind the wheel.I felt around under the car and located three pipes including the one that was hanging down. The other two pipes were connected to metal pipes and were both closer to the outide of the guard. I felt around and located a metal pipe that was open, just near where the rubber pipe was hanging down. I fitted the rubber pipe over the metal one and it fit in without a problem. What do you suppose this was? The only thing I noticed was that there was some dirty water on my driveway (though not a lot at all) under the car that I haven't seen before.Any suggestions would be appreciated.James

i'm pretty sure your talkin about =>

the piping that has to do with emission control or somthing (i don't know the technical name for it) i have a feeling its exactally what my zed doest have attached, so i asked Franz and he said its not important and that his zed has it disabled. it connects to your exhaust and measures immisions (i think).Would somone be able to veryfy what i'm sayin is correct/incorrect.Cheers,Red Z.

    The big pipe is

most probably the AIV pipe, and the small pipe is the drain pipe from the heater/a?C box in the passenger side of the car.
