NSW Wakefield Track Day 23/08/2014

Hey NSW Peeps

After a recent visit to Wakefield Raceway, I saw an opportunity to hold a sort of track day. You get to take your own car out on the track with no speed limits; "Speed off the streets" as they call it. Sorry, no passengers allowed.

WHEN: Saturday 23rd August 2014

COST AND REQUIREMENTS:

- $160 + $50 for an annual AAA licence (+ fuel money and food)
- approved helmet and long clothing (long pants/long shirt/closed in shoes)

After a call to Wakefield Park
- confirmed - NO passengers.
- no max/min cars BUT max of 16 cars on the track at one time
- only a couple of Saturdays available a year. 23rd August seems to be the most suitable (other date is April)
- confirmed - $160 for the day (until they close) + $50 for the AAA licence
Please post for all who wish to attend so I can get numbers.

 

If there's at least a handful of cars coming, I will come along to take photos and some video. I wont be bringing the Zed though cos its only 2 seater and I will probably bring wife and son.

 

Just a heads up, availability of SOTS days do change, especially on weekends, as the track is booked for other reasons. So scheduling this for 8 months time might not work out.

 

No dramas.
I've called them up and they said that date is only for SOTS.
No other race will over book it.

Definitely keen to attend, but don't think i will have a 300 anymore, so will either come in my astra or another toy i get

Intrest is being expressed. the engine is out of my car and needs a few bits done. Seeing as its awhile away mark me as a maybe.

Do u need a AAA licence if u have a cams licence

 

Depends which CAMS licence, but generally no.

 

So 2 weeks to go and who is actually going? It would be nice to see other zeds on the track.
It is the best thing you can do with your cloths on....

Now that we're getting close I'm pretty keen, we can see if my turbos make up for my lack of good tyres, shocks and talent against your NA
