Thanks Wiz, I don't think they are worth 3 secs/lap. I reckon with fresh set of 315 or 295 good r comps you can achieve a similar time. The only reason I use 2nd hand slicks is budget. I can't justify $2k for a new set of r comps. I only paid $300 for the slicks.

Getting below 1.10 was always a barrier. But I knew I was still under tyred front and rear, and suspension was all wrong. Rear over springed with the bilsteins as the car was a 2 seater. Could not put the power down on corner exit so put a new diff in also.

Ron, did you find out what was wrong with your brakes? I still believe the 2500 are not up to the task when your doing 1.10s. Need better pads. Always found the 2500 to have a very wooden pedal feel and not enough bite for such a heavy car as the zed.

    Haven't checked yet Michael

Just put it in the garage when I got home, think it is just the fluid that needs changing, always been ok in the past with the same set up, but I might try what you suggested.
would like to try some slicks to see what the difference is.
Car has some more left in it, loses ground out of the fishhook and onto the straight, but starts reeling them in once it gets wound up, should be good at the Creek which doesn't have the stop corners and I can keep it in the rev range, so will head there when I can
